Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from what seemed like just another apartment rental in Munich’s city center, but this little one-bedroom completely changed my perspective on where to stay when you’re exploring the city. You know what struck me first? The moment I stepped inside, it felt like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room – there’s this lived-in warmth that you just don’t get in most places, even the fancy ones.

The location is what really makes this place shine, and I mean that in the most practical way possible. You’re genuinely in the heart of everything without being trapped in tourist hell. I could walk to Marienplatz in about eight minutes (I timed it because I’m weird like that), but here’s the thing – you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant street noise or crowds of people taking selfies right outside your window. The building itself has that solid, old Munich character, thick walls that actually keep sound out, which was a blessing during Oktoberfest season when I stayed there. I mean, you can still hear the city humming if you really listen, but it’s more like a gentle backdrop than chaos.

What I loved most was having a proper kitchen – not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation, but actual counter space where I could spread out breakfast from the Viktualienmarkt, which is literally a ten-minute stroll away. The bedroom gets great morning light without being blindingly bright, and the bed was honestly more comfortable than my own at home (I’m still a little bitter about that). The whole space feels bigger than it probably is because everything’s arranged thoughtfully, nothing crammed into corners or awkwardly placed. Parking was actually manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in Munich will tell you is practically a miracle – there’s street parking that doesn’t require a engineering degree to figure out, and a few garages within walking distance if you want to play it safe. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, just a really well-executed apartment that happens to be perfectly positioned for exploring the city on foot or jumping on the U-Bahn when your feet give out.

  Our stunning apartment was centrally located in Munich, a great city to walk & explore all the major attractions & Old Town. Make time to stop in at the Viktualienmarkt to enjoy beer and traditional food alongside the local Münchners.
  Marc was a great host. The apartment felt like “home from home” for us, spacious, beautiful furnishings & facilities. We will definitely stay again when we next visit Munich.

  Incredible apartment, beautifully fitted out. Excellent position easy access to everything you need.
  
  Friendly staff, helpful etc. though cleaning lady showed up half way through our stay and again on our leaving day and couple hours early – not sure what the go was but otherwise was a very pleasant and smooth stay.
  
  Yes you get a tiny bit of street noise from the wine bar etc but nothing more than a low rubble letting you know you're in a happening part of town.
  
  Small issues, cooking equipment lacking two pots but no pans, or any cooking utensils, umbrella was hidden away and didn't find till last days etc, the appartment is also very echo-y felt like you couldn't raise you voice much as you'd start hearing yourself, but that's because it a large space and well, as I say all very very small things.
  
  Overall an incredible apartment that we absolutely loved staying in. Thank you!!

  Ein Juwel in allerbester Lage.
  Die eher schlichte Fassade verbirgt eine fantastische Wohnung mit ausgewählten südafrikanischen Exponaten.
  Wer Spaß an ausgewählten Details hat, sollte diese Wohnung buchen.
  Falls man das Lebensgefühl mitnehmen möchte, kann man im Geschäft im Erdgeschoss Einrichtungsgegenstände käuflich erwerben.
  Im Umfeld findet man allerfeinste Bars und Restaurants.
