You know what? The Superior Hotel Präsident isn’t going to win any design awards, but there’s something refreshingly honest about the place that I actually appreciate. It’s one of those solid 3-star properties that doesn’t try to be anything it’s not – and honestly, that’s kind of a relief in a world full of hotels promising the moon and delivering cardboard croissants.

The first thing you’ll notice walking into the lobby is that it feels lived-in rather than showroom-perfect. The furniture’s got that well-worn comfort to it, and the staff behind the desk actually looks up when you approach (which, let’s be real, doesn’t always happen these days). I mean, with a 7.7 rating, you’re not exactly getting the Ritz experience, but you’re getting something arguably better – genuine hospitality without the pretense. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid mid-range place: clean sheets that smell like actual detergent, not chemical fresheners, and bathrooms where the hot water actually shows up when promised. The beds are surprisingly decent too – none of that rock-hard European mattress situation that sometimes catches American travelers off guard.

What really won me over, though, were all those little things that show someone’s paying attention. The housekeeping staff remembers how you like your towels folded after day two. There’s always fresh coffee in the lobby, not just during “official” breakfast hours. And the Wi-Fi – well, it’s not blazing fast, but it’s reliable enough for video calls without making you want to throw your laptop out the window. The location works in your favor too, though you’ll want to ask for a room facing away from the main street if you’re a light sleeper – there’s definitely some traffic noise, especially during morning rush hour. But honestly? It’s the kind of background city hum that I find oddly comforting after a few nights. Plus, being right in the thick of things means you can actually walk to decent restaurants and shops instead of relying on overpriced hotel services or hunting down taxis every time you want a proper meal. The neighborhood has that authentic feel where locals actually live and work, not just another tourist corridor filled with souvenir shops and chain restaurants.

  Very clean room. 5-6 min walk from the train station. Super breakfast, everything was tasty. Different cheeses , vegetables etc.

  The location, breakfast, comfort.
  
  What could be improved: The receptionists could have been a bit more welcoming and friendlier, but the other members of staff were lovely.. The choice of TV channels was very limited and focused on German, Turkish and Russian languages. The curtains were very thin and without blackout lining.

  Hotel is located near main train station and public transportation is easily accessible through main train station and Karlsplatz metro. Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and competent.

  It was very close to the train station and walkable to Oktoberfest. The staff serving the breakfast were all very nice. The front desk reception was so helpful. We had a situation with not wallet in a taxi and they helped us track the taxi driver down and get him to return the wallet. We also were helped with restaurant selections and getting a space to load our car when we checked out.

  The location is perfect in the centre of Munich and literally a five minute walk from the train station. On arrival we were greeted warmly by a very nice lady who spoke perfect English and allocated our room immediately. The room itself was very spacious with large windows overlooking Munich and has excellent facilities – all in all it was a very comfortable room. Breakfast the next day was a varied buffet style selection served by 2 friendly & helpful ladies. There was also the facility to store our bags in the hotel for the day after we had checked out , again facilitated by another friendly lady on reception who spoke perfect English. All in all a perfect experience and I would really like to visit again.
