Overview
Honestly, when I first saw the name “Ridler Theresienwiese,” I wasn’t sure what to expect – it sounds pretty formal for what turns out to be this surprisingly cool spot right by Munich’s famous Oktoberfest grounds. And you know what? That location is actually perfect, even when there’s no beer festival happening.
The two-room setup works brilliantly if you’re traveling with friends or family who need some space to spread out. I mean, hotel rooms in Munich can feel pretty cramped, but here you actually have room to breathe. What really sold me though were those rooftop terraces – and I’m not talking about some tiny balcony with a plastic chair. These are proper outdoor spaces where you can sit with a coffee in the morning (or a beer you grabbed from the corner shop) and watch the city wake up. The parking situation is honestly a godsend if you’re driving in Munich – anyone who’s tried to find a spot near the city center knows what a nightmare that usually is. Here, you just… park. Done.
The whole place has this laid-back vibe that you don’t always get at four-star hotels. Staff actually seems to care about what you’re up to, and they’ll give you real recommendations, not just point you toward the tourist traps. Location-wise, you’re close enough to walk into the action but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant noise from the main drags. The Theresienwiese itself is pretty cool to explore even during off-season – it’s this massive open space that feels almost surreal when it’s empty, knowing that millions of people pack in there every September. Walking to the city center takes maybe 15-20 minutes, or you can hop on the U-Bahn pretty easily.
I’ll be honest – the address situation seems a bit unclear online, which made me nervous about finding it initially. But once you’re there, everything makes sense, and the building is distinctive enough that you won’t miss it. The 9.5 rating isn’t just inflated review scores either; people genuinely seem to love this place because it delivers on the practical stuff without being stuffy about it. You get the amenities you’d expect from a four-star spot, but it feels more like staying at a friend’s really nice apartment than some corporate hotel chain. The terraces alone make it worth booking, especially if you visit during warmer months – there’s something pretty special about having your own outdoor space in a city where that’s usually a luxury.

Guest Reviews
Wonderful hosts - very responsive and helpful! The apartment is in a great location, has plenty of room and easily fit the 4 of us. Would definitely stay again!
Grundversorgung wie Kaffee, Tee, Wasser, selbst Duschgel etc waren vorhanden
Sehr zentral (Oktoberfest), sehr sauber und tolle, nette Gastgeber.
Jederzeit gerne wieder.
super logement, très bien situé, avec un frigo rempli généreusement par notre hôte !
I can fuly recommend the flat and Landlords! We will come Back, that's for sure.
What could be improved: Rien, tout était parfait.
Host was very friendly and we agreed all the details around checking-in really easy. He even put some drinks in the fridge as he knew we are coming from a long trip.
Sehr freundliche Vermieter.
Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche übrig.
Zentral gelegen aber dennoch sehr ruhige Lage.
Super zentrale Lage. Angenehm helle Wohnung.
The property was very nice and in a great location! We came to Munich for Springfest and everywhere we wanted to go was very close by including a train station. The apartment itself was very spacious and fit the 4 of us perfectly.
What could be improved: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property.
