Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Numa Munich St Paul? It’s actually tucked into this perfectly typical Munich street scene on Landwehrstraße – not trying too hard to stand out, but somehow that works in its favor. I mean, you’re right in Ludwigsvorstadt, which honestly feels more like where actual Munich residents live rather than tourist central, and there’s something refreshing about that.

The whole place has this modern-minimalist thing going on, but not in that cold, sterile way that makes you feel like you’re in an airport. More like… well, if a really organized friend designed their apartment and actually had good taste. The rooms are smartly laid out – I was surprised how they managed to fit everything you need without it feeling cramped. And here’s something I appreciated: the soundproofing is actually decent, which matters because Landwehrstraße does get some traffic during the day (though it’s pretty quiet at night). The tech setup is solid too – everything connects easily, the lighting adjusts properly, and honestly, after staying in places where you need a engineering degree to figure out the shower, it’s nice when things just work.

Location-wise, this is where it gets interesting. You’re about a 15-minute walk to Marienplatz if you’re feeling ambitious, but more importantly, you’re genuinely in a neighborhood. There’s a decent bakery literally around the corner – I grabbed coffee there most mornings and it felt properly local, not touristy. The U-Bahn connections are solid (Theresienwiese isn’t far), and if you’re here during Oktoberfest season… well, let’s just say you’ll understand why this area gets booked up fast. But even outside of festival madness, you’ve got good access to the city center without being right in the thick of all the crowds and inflated prices. I actually ended up walking to dinner most nights because there are some genuinely good spots within a few blocks – the kind of places you stumble onto rather than find in guidebooks. The staff keeps things simple but helpful, check-in was smooth, and they seem to actually know the neighborhood when you ask for recommendations rather than just pointing you toward the obvious tourist spots.

The concierge service in Munich can arrange exclusive castle tours, secure reservations at traditional beer halls, and organize day trips to Neuschwanstein Castle and the Bavarian Alps.

Reviews

  • Exceptional – Jane from Israel – August 10, 2025 (10/10)

The room is very light and modern. Bed is perfectly comfortable, there's a small kitchen and fridge with complementary products which was very nice.

What could be improved: The location is close to the center but the area is also next to the central station which feels a bit unsafe in the evening.

  • If I decide to come back to Munich soon, I would like to stay in the same apartment ! – Anna from Ukraine – August 7, 2025 (10/10)

Great location with many shops nearby. Also, it was amazing that it is the walking distance from the main train station. in our four day trip It was very convenient.
The room was super clean. The furniture was new. 👍🏼

  • Excellent apartment in a slightly run down location – Keith from United Kingdom – July 27, 2025 (9/10)

This apartment has everything you’d need to self cater in comfort. Mine also had the benefit of a balcony. It has been very well designed and makes excellent use of the available space. The location is very convenient for the main station being about a 5 minute walk away, but see below

What could be improved: Please be aware that you aren’t going to step out of the door and be in the nicest part of town, but there are improvements taking place, and it’s just a 10 minute walk to the city centre.
