So I’ve actually stayed at the NH München Ost Conference Center a few times now, and honestly? It’s one of those places that grows on you. First impression walking in – it’s clearly built for business travelers, with that sleek, modern lobby that screams “important meetings happen here.” But you know what surprised me? How comfortable it actually feels once you settle in.

The location is pretty solid if you know Munich at all. You’re on the east side, which I mean, isn’t exactly the heart of the action like Marienplatz, but that’s kind of the point. It’s quieter here, and the S-Bahn connections are actually really convenient – you can hop on and be in the city center in about 15 minutes. Plus, there’s decent parking (which anyone who’s driven in Munich will tell you is basically gold), and the rates aren’t completely insane like some of the downtown spots. The conference facilities are legit impressive though – I’ve been to a few events there and the meeting rooms have that proper corporate feel with all the tech you’d want, natural light, the works.

What I really appreciate about this place is the attention to detail in the rooms. They’ve got this clean, minimalist thing going on that doesn’t feel sterile, you know? The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathrooms are modern without being pretentious. The staff has always been helpful when I’ve needed something – not overly chatty, but efficient in that German way that I’ve come to appreciate. Breakfast is solid too, though it can get pretty busy during conference season, so if you’re not an early riser, maybe grab coffee elsewhere first. One small thing that bugs me – the WiFi can be a bit spotty in some of the upper floors, but honestly, that might just be bad luck on my part. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. If you’re in Munich for business or just want a reliable base that’s not in the tourist chaos, this place actually works really well.

  I liked the great service offered by the receptionist.
  
  What could be improved: The restaurant for dinner was an absolute disaster. We ordered the food, and after an hour and a half, it was still not delivered. When we asked, they apologised and informed us that the kitchen had some problem and that it would arrive in 10 minutes. When we received the food, it was very salty. We, along with other guests, complained. We were then served the food, but it was cold.
  
  The next evening, as we were too tired to go out for dinner, we decided to eat at the restaurant. As we sat down at the table and waited for the waiter to take our order, we saw a couple on the following table who had just received their meal. The couple had a bite of the food and puked. When we enquired them, they said the food was terrible. We left and went to near by Indian restaurant where it was palatable and warm.

  What could be improved: I understand there was a function but we went to the restaurant when the wedding was over and the service was horrible. Staff nowhere to be found. Waiting long periods to order or to pay. Nit very friendly staff

  The room was brilliant. Comfortable beds, clean, great bathroom and the staff were exceptional.

  The room was large (for European standards) and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, offering a large selection of hot and cold foods.
  
  What could be improved: For someone touring Munich, it is quite a bit out of the way, and it takes quite long to walk to the train station, and catch a train to get there.
  
  The check-in was not friendly at all. The young lady at the desk was quite stark and too buisness-like and not at all friendly and welcoming. The young man who helped her seemed to be very new and not very well informed about how to get around the area and get tickets for the train and bus. This should be something that is either known by the front desk or at least printed out for guests to refer to.
  
  The dinner selection at the restaurant was very limited, requiring us to walk quite a ways to find a decent restaurant.
