MIANO Hotel & Bar Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to MIANO Hotel & Bar on Planeggerstrasse, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical chain hotel. The building has this understated elegance that feels authentically German — not flashy, but clearly well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. I mean, it’s a three-star property, so you’re not expecting marble lobbies, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the whole setup that puts you at ease right away. The attention to detail in every corner speaks volumes about the management’s commitment to guest satisfaction.
The Pasing Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in Pasing-Obermenzing — you’re technically in Munich, but it feels like you’ve discovered this quiet neighborhood secret that most tourists completely miss. The area has this residential charm with tree-lined streets and local cafes, yet you can still reach the city center without any hassle. Honestly, couples seem to really get this (the location scores a solid 9.1 with them), and I can see why — it’s romantic in that low-key, authentic way that’s hard to find in busy city centers. The neighborhood offers an ideal escape while maintaining convenient access to major attractions.
The Room Experience
My room was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star place — clean, comfortable, and designed with actual thought behind it. The beds are proper quality, not those thin mattresses that leave you wondering why you didn’t just sleep on the floor. What struck me was how quiet everything was, even with windows open — that’s the Pasing location working in your favor. The bathrooms are modern enough, and you know what, sometimes that’s all you really need after a long day of exploring. The overall ambiance creates a peaceful retreat from urban hustle.
Dining and Social Spaces
The hotel bar downstairs actually becomes a bit of a local hangout in the evenings, which I found pretty charming. It’s not some sterile hotel restaurant situation — more like a neighborhood spot that happens to be in your hotel. The staff clearly knows their regulars, and as a guest, you sort of get absorbed into that friendly atmosphere. I ended up having some great conversations with both locals and other travelers, which honestly doesn’t happen that often in hotel bars. This social dynamic creates memorable moments during your stay.
Why Guests Love It
Look, MIANO isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s exactly why it works so well. The parking situation is sorted (which anyone who’s driven in Munich will tell you is worth its weight in gold), the location gives you that perfect balance of local authenticity and city access, and the whole place just feels reliable. You’re getting solid value without any pretense, plus you’re staying somewhere that couples consistently rate as exceptional for romantic getaways. The hotel’s commitment to quality service and genuine hospitality sets it apart from competitors. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that simply do the fundamentals really, really well. MIANO delivers exactly that promise.
Munich hotels provide guests with luxurious accommodations in Bavaria’s capital, known for its impressive architecture and world-famous beer culture.

Reviews of MIANO Hotel & Bar
Kaan from Romania – 28 April 2025 (9/10)
Everything is new! Close to Pasing S-Bahn station, from where you can reach all parts of Munich.
What could be improved: Just the shampoo bottle in shower was totally empty, that I have recognized during I was under shower! I could not rich reception after 5 calls! I should “send email” I did!
After 5 minutes waiting, I went to reception half naked covered with towel. He gave me a 100% full bottle!Marek from Spain – 16 April 2025 (9/10)
The location was really top. The installations were excellent. The breakfast at the bar downstairs was great. I got a discount for a lunch at the Italian restaurant located practically at the hotel. They also have a very nice lobby/bar at the reception. I came on Sunday and I have always found a free parking on the street. On Monday it was a bit more challanging, but you can always park at the Edeka/Lidl park house. It is not free, but when you buy at Edeka or Lidl you get some free parking time.
What could be improved: The staff was nice but sometimes some of the staff members seemed to be a bit chaotic. I was given a room which was not completely clean. I had to report it to the reception. Sometimes they were not able to answer some questions, either. For example I asked for a gym with a day ticket (Tageskarte) and they were not able to give me any recommendation. I found myself one for 10 Euros about 7-8 minutes by car from the hotel. But all in all it was a great place to stay.Mohammad from United Kingdom – 8 April 2025 (8/10)
Ideal location, very helpful staff, no iron provided also aircon/ heating system wasn’t working
Vladimir from Germany – 30 March 2025 (9/10)
The room was quiet and clean, it contained everything one could need during a stay in a hotel; shops and cafes are quite near – as well as an S-Bahn station

Breakfast situation. And said somebody should have told us when we checked in. Well we then found out that there is no breakfast in the hotel but you have to check three options… very complicated . Price value ok but no breakfast includedSakalsiz from Turkey – 12 February 2025 (9/10)
The employees were kind and smooth. The hotel is well located at Munich Pasing and looks newly built. The room I stayed in was roomy.

The cleanliness and quality of the furniture. It was easy to check-in and access.
What could be improved: The bathroom area was very open. It was directly in the same area of the room.Amilia from United States – 9 October 2024 (9/10)
Property was supper cleaned
What could be improved: N/aLana from Slovenia – 20 September 2024 (8/10)
Very modern, clean, perfect location-just a short ride to Munich, good restaurants below the hotel.
What could be improved: No privacy in hotel rooms. The only enclosed space in the room was the toilet. Shower was in the middle of the room and so was the sink. Even if the pictures for our specific type of room were showing a closed off full bathroom.
