Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel Jedermann on Bayerstrasse, you immediately get that “this is exactly what I was hoping for” feeling. It’s one of those three-star places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — just solid, welcoming, and refreshingly straightforward. The building has that classic Munich character without being stuffy, and honestly, the location alone makes you feel like you’ve made a smart choice. You’re right in Ludwigsvorstadt, which means you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the tourist chaos to actually get some sleep.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to the Hauptbahnhof in about five minutes, which is incredibly handy when you’re dragging luggage or catching early trains. But you know what’s even better? You’re also within easy reach of the old town without being stuck in the middle of all those beer hall crowds. The neighborhood has that authentic Munich vibe with local cafes and shops, plus couples absolutely rave about this area (they give it a 9.0 rating, which honestly makes sense when you see how walkable everything is). The tram connections are right there too, so getting around the city is actually pretty effortless.
The Rooms
The rooms at Hotel Jedermann are what I’d call “pleasantly practical” — they’re clean, comfortable, and designed by people who clearly understand what travelers actually need. Nothing fancy, but everything works properly, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The bathrooms are modern and well-maintained, with good water pressure — those little details that make a difference when you’re exploring Munich all day.
Breakfast Experience
The breakfast buffet here is honestly one of those pleasant surprises that sets the tone for your whole day. It’s not trying to be elaborate, but they’ve got all the German breakfast essentials plus enough variety to keep everyone happy. Fresh bread, good coffee, local meats and cheeses — basically everything you need to fuel up before hitting the Marienplatz or wandering through the English Garden. The breakfast room has a nice, relaxed atmosphere too, so you’re not rushing through your meal just to escape.
Why Guests Love It
What really makes Hotel Jedermann work is that it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. The staff actually seems to care about helping you have a good stay, the location score of 8.9 isn’t just marketing fluff (you’ll understand once you start walking around), and the whole place has this comfortable, unpretentious vibe that makes Munich feel accessible. It’s the kind of hotel where you spend your time exploring the city instead of worrying about whether you made the right booking choice — and honestly, that’s exactly what a good three-star should do.

Guest Reviews
The staff is very friendly and willing to help.
So touched with the help they had offered.
Great location for transportation
What could be improved: Unfortunately not so many restaurants and supermarket nearby.
Family run hotel with hart and soul. Quite old fashioned but clean and does the trick if you’re looking for an affordable central place. Also pretty good breakfast. Just be careful with the cheaper rooms as they share bathroom in the corridor.
What could be improved: Location.
Clean and tidy
What could be improved: All good
The room was quite spacious for three persons. The amenities were sufficient and the staff were very friendly and willing to help in anything we asked for.
Breakfast was nice too
What could be improved: Nothing
Good location, approachable staff and nice food.
Great value for money. Good breakfast offering and great location near the train stations. Tram also stops right out front! Staff are very helpful and friendly as well.
What could be improved: Small elevator and old style room key.
Breakfast is outstanding, close to train station
What could be improved: Got the wrong kind of room then I thought I had purchased
Location is excellent! A 15 min walk from the Hauptbahnhof, but if you'd rather not walk approx 50 or so feet from the entrance to the hotel is a Tram Station (which can take you to the Hauptbahnhof or even to the center of Munich). A mall that has Edeka, Lidl, and a few other grocery stories are approx 10 minutes away to include food options at the mall. Plenty of local restaurants around to verify from German, Italian, Turkish, Vietnamese, cuisine. The Thereisenweise (oktoberfest fest grounds) is also approx 10 min walk away aswell.
Breakfast is amazing, a very large selection of for Brotzeit options, and some fresh sausage and eggs, and pastries. Breakfast was great here and I took advantage of it, definitely great food options, and great hours for Breakfast too!
What could be improved: Would have loved to have a mini fridge (winter not so much you could place items outside your windows to keep cool, but summer it would be beneficial) and microwave in the room (reheat leftovers, especially for those who have kids and eat whenever it's convenient for them at times.
I loved the location of the hotel really close to all the Xmas markets. Straight walk down to the main town and also walking distance to trains.
What could be improved: The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the cleaning staff leave your windows wide open whilst you’re out and then the room is absolutely freezing to come back into which isn’t nice after being out in -1/-2 degrees weather. I’d say that’s ok in summer but not winter for me. That’s all really
The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful
The location is 5 mins walk to the main metro station and 1 min from the tram station
Only 15 mins walk from the city center
Very good breakfast with variety of food types
