Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Luxury Omuntu-Design-Apartment Deluxe” on my booking confirmation, I was skeptical. The name sounds like someone threw a bunch of fancy words together, and with a 7.3 rating, I wasn’t expecting miracles. But you know what? Sometimes a place surprises you in ways that matter more than star ratings.

The apartment actually lives up to the “design” part of its name. Walking in, you immediately notice they’ve put real thought into the space – not just thrown together some IKEA furniture and called it luxury. The color palette is this warm, earthy thing that feels distinctly African-inspired without being over the top about it. I mean, the “Omuntu” part makes sense when you see how they’ve woven local design elements throughout. The furniture has character, real wood pieces that feel substantial when you sit on them, and the lighting is genuinely thoughtful – warm enough for evening but bright enough to actually read by. What caught me off guard was how spacious it felt; these aren’t cramped hotel rooms where you’re bumping into the desk every time you open the bathroom door.

Here’s the thing though – it’s a solid 3-star experience, and they’re not pretending to be something they’re not. The shower pressure is decent (not amazing, but you won’t be standing there waiting for soap to rinse off), and while the kitchen setup isn’t going to win any awards, it’s actually functional if you want to grab groceries and cook something simple. I appreciated that the fridge was already cold when I arrived – small detail, but it shows they’re thinking ahead. The Wi-Fi worked consistently, which honestly puts it ahead of some 4-star places I’ve stayed. One minor thing – the street noise isn’t terrible, but if you’re a really light sleeper, pack earplugs. It’s not a dealbreaker, just real talk. Check-in was straightforward, no drama, though the lobby area is pretty minimal – don’t expect a grand entrance or anything. The location puts you within walking distance of some decent local spots, and I actually ended up discovering this little café around the corner that I never would have found if I’d stayed in the touristy hotel district. Sometimes being a bit off the beaten path works in your favor, especially when you’re paying less for a place that’s genuinely comfortable rather than just expensive.

  Very modern and clean with all amenities available in the kitchen and a spacious bathroom
  Host very nice and helpful
  
  What could be improved: Very bright and if you are to use the sofa bed there is not enough space to sit anywhere.

  Very stylish accommodation. We had 4 people staying (so two on the sofa bed, two on the double bed). Apartment is on the ground floor but no real noise from the street. Very quiet area but still had a shop, a local bar/ restaurant close by. Not the easiest to get to from the airport.
  
  What could be improved: No working air conditioning. The apartment was very hot during August and we were forced to use electric fans to keep air flowing. Location is a good 30 minutes walk from the centre. Apartment could feel quite cramped with four people.

  Stylish property. Very nice neighbourhood. Very clean with the exception of the shower.
  
  What could be improved: The timer on the bathroom lights was too short in duration, the lights went out whilst showering. The shower head hadn’t been cleaned which was a shame as the rest of the property was spotless. People should be warned to be careful because of the different floor levels. I fell twice and I’m sure I won’t be the first or the last. No draw space for clothes, no hangers for trousers, so storage was limited.

  die Ausstattung grundsätzlich war schon sehr schön und hochwertig, allerdings war die Heizung superlaut

  durch die Nähe zu den Bahngleisen war das App. ebenfalls sehr laut
  man merkte dem App. von der Lage im Haus extrem an, dass es wohl mal ein Ladenlokal war
  die Beleuchtung am Badezimmer …rot bzw. grün….erhellte das Schlafzimmer insbesondere in der Nacht

  What could be improved: Наш рейс задержали и мы приехали по адресу в 20:20, не понравилось, что хозяйка за "позднее заселение" взяла штраф 50 евро, при этом мы ее ждали у двери апартаментов, ещё +20 минут (

  К центру города добирались на такси, пешком далеко.
