You know what caught me off guard about KING’s Hotel First? The name makes it sound sort of pretentious, but honestly, it’s just a really solid four-star place that actually delivers on what it promises. I mean, when you walk into the lobby, there’s this understated elegance that feels authentic rather than trying too hard – think clean lines and quality materials without all the flashy nonsense you sometimes get at places trying to punch above their weight class.

The thing that really impressed me was how they’ve nailed the details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The rooms have proper blackout curtains (not those flimsy things that let street light creep in at 5 AM), and the beds are legitimately comfortable – I’m talking about that sweet spot where the mattress has enough support but still feels plush. The bathrooms surprised me too; good water pressure in the shower and toiletries that don’t smell like industrial cleaning supplies. You can tell they’ve thought about what travelers actually need rather than just checking boxes for amenities nobody uses.

What sets this place apart, though, is how the staff operates – they’re helpful without being hovering, if you know what I mean. Check-in was smooth, and when I had questions about the area, they gave me actual useful advice instead of just pointing to a tourist map. The breakfast setup (when I managed to get down there before the morning rush) was well-stocked with both local and international options, nothing revolutionary but definitely above average for a four-star property. I appreciated that they kept things running efficiently even when the place filled up – there’s clearly good management behind the scenes. The 8.5 rating makes perfect sense to me; it’s not going to blow your mind, but it consistently does everything well, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re somewhere new and just need a reliable home base.

  The highlight is definitely its location, just a short walk from the historic center, which made it super convenient to explore the city on foot. The shower was amazing, with great water pressure and temperature control, and even the hairdryer was surprisingly good (a rare find in hotels!). A very comfortable and practical stay overall.

  The location is 5 minutes walk from Central Rial Station. It is very convenient to all the attractions. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there when I visit Munich again.
