Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to King’s Hotel Center Superior on Marsstraße, you immediately get that “this is exactly where I want to be” feeling. It’s one of those three-star places that punches way above its weight — honestly, the location alone makes it feel more premium than the rating suggests. The building has this solid, dependable Munich vibe without trying too hard to be flashy, which I actually appreciate more than those over-designed places that look great in photos but feel sterile in person.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about Maxvorstadt — you’re in the thick of Munich without being stuck in pure tourist chaos. From the hotel, you can walk to the main train station in about ten minutes, which means you’re not dragging your luggage through endless U-Bahn transfers. But more importantly, you’re surrounded by the kind of neighborhood life that makes Munich special. There are proper local cafes around the corner, not just tourist traps, and you know what? The couples who stay here really get it — there’s something romantic about wandering these tree-lined streets in the evening.
The Room Experience
My room was what I’d call “thoughtfully simple” — clean lines, good lighting, and a bed that actually let me sleep properly after long days of sightseeing. The Superior designation isn’t just marketing speak; you can tell they’ve put effort into the details. The bathroom was compact but well-designed, and I mean, this is Munich — space is at a premium everywhere. What impressed me was how quiet everything was despite being so central. You get city energy when you want it, peace when you need it.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here have this nice flow to them — the breakfast area gets busy but never feels rushed, and the staff genuinely seems to care about getting your day started right. I found myself looking forward to that first coffee while planning out whether to hit the museums or just wander the Maxvorstadt galleries. The hotel sits in this sweet spot where you can grab dinner at a proper Bavarian restaurant within a few blocks, or if you’re feeling more international, there are plenty of options that locals actually frequent.
Why Guests Love It
Look, I’ve stayed in fancier places and I’ve definitely stayed in cheaper ones, but King’s Hotel Center Superior hits this perfect middle ground that’s hard to find. Recent guests keep raving about the location for good reason — you’re genuinely well-positioned for everything Munich has to offer. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you experience how everything just works smoothly here. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which in a city like Munich, where authenticity matters, feels exactly right. Plus, there’s decent parking nearby if you’re driving, though honestly, you probably won’t need your car much once you’re settled in.

What could be improved: Parking
I loved everything about hotel and stuff. Very close to center, clean, safe and quiet. The gentleman at the front desk is super kind and very welcoming. Highly recommended.
What could be improved: The quality of the sheets and bed was poor.
Very well located and comfortable hotel with everything you could need for a stay in Munich. Breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful.
We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff was very welcoming, exceptional thanks to Benjamin for his warmest welcome and readiness to help in any situation. The breakfast was satisfactory. The only thing that I would like them to review is the absence of toothpaste and toothbrush. Anyway, it didn’t affect on the quality of our stay. Thank you all very much 🥰
Everything was perfect! The hotel is stylish and beautiful.
Excellent location. I was able to reserve a parking place which I appreciated. I also enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffet.
The manager Richard M provided excellent service, really made you feel welcome.
Being able to use the garden to have a takeaway pizza. Also lovely coffee available at all times.
What could be improved: Nothing we didn’t like
