The name had me expecting some kind of flashy sports-themed place, but it’s actually this genuinely welcoming three-star spot that just… gets it right. I mean, with an 8.7 rating, I figured there had to be something special going on, and honestly, it’s all in the details that most places completely overlook.

The lobby hits you with this comfortable, lived-in feeling – not trying too hard to impress, but clearly someone cares about the place. The front desk staff actually seemed happy to see guests walk in, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is these days. Check-in was smooth, no weird upselling attempts, just genuine helpfulness. My room was on the third floor, and I have to say, the soundproofing was better than I expected – you’re not dealing with hallway conversations at midnight or street noise creeping in during those crucial morning sleep hours. The bed was properly comfortable (not too soft, not like sleeping on a board), and they’d clearly invested in decent linens. Little things, but they add up when you’re actually trying to get rest.

What really won me over was how the place feels during different parts of the day. Mornings have this calm energy – you can grab coffee without fighting crowds, and there’s usually someone around who can point you toward whatever you’re looking for without making you feel like you’re bothering them. The common areas don’t feel sterile or overly designed; they’re spaces you’d actually want to sit in for a few minutes. I spent some time in the lobby one evening just catching up on emails, and it struck me how many hotels create spaces that look good in photos but feel awkward to actually use. Not here – the seating makes sense, the lighting works, the wifi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes. Look, it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, and that’s exactly why it works. Sometimes you want a hotel that focuses on being a really good hotel instead of trying to be everything else too.   Great property, staff and rooms. Good breaksfast service and good location overall
  
  What could be improved: My room faced the street right above a bar that was open until 1:00am or later on a Monday and Tuesday with people constantly getting out to smoke and chat very loudly. In the morning the noise from the street starts at 7:00am so basically 5 hours of sleep at the best

  Really close to Metro Station, just 3 stops from MarienPlatz. Although my stay was short and without breakfast, I can say that the room was very spacious, beds comfortable. The bathroom had everything I needed. Highly recommended!

  Perfect location, close to everything, didn't have to use transport at all, excepting to my train from East terminal.
  Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, I had only one because I left early for day trip, but it worthed it. Comfortable room for alone traveler (It is rare), a little old fashionable like the whole hotel, but it had its own charm.
  
  What could be improved: It would be nice to have some teamaker in the room. I'm sure I would be provided with one if I asked.
