Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “H+ Hotel München,” I wasn’t expecting much. The name sounds a bit corporate, you know? But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s one of those sleek, modern properties that manages to feel both professional and welcoming at the same time, which isn’t easy to pull off in Munich where you’re competing with all those traditional Bavarian spots.
The lobby hits you with this clean, contemporary vibe – lots of natural light and that minimalist German design aesthetic that actually works. Check-in was smooth (they speak excellent English, which honestly saved me some embarrassing German pronunciation moments), and the staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. My room was on the sixth floor, and I mean, the soundproofing is solid – Munich can get pretty lively, especially during Oktoberfest season or when there’s a football match, but you’re not going to hear much street noise here. The beds are comfortable too, not too soft, not too firm – that sweet spot where you actually sleep through the night instead of tossing around.
What I really appreciated was how they’ve thought about the practical stuff. The shower pressure is fantastic (you’d be surprised how many European hotels mess this up), there’s plenty of outlet space for all your devices, and the Wi-Fi actually works consistently throughout the building. The breakfast spread is pretty impressive too – goes way beyond the usual continental setup with proper German breads, local cheeses, and decent coffee. You’re looking at maybe 15-20 minutes by U-Bahn to get into the heart of the old town, which means you’re close enough to hit Marienplatz or the beer gardens without dealing with all the tourist chaos right outside your door. There’s also this great Turkish place around the corner that locals actually eat at – not one of those tourist traps with English menus and inflated prices. The whole neighborhood has this authentic residential feel where you’ll see people walking their dogs and heading to work, which I find way more interesting than staying right in the touristy center. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (street spots fill up fast), but the hotel can help you sort that out. Overall, it’s the kind of place I’d actually book again – comfortable, well-run, and positioned perfectly for exploring Munich without feeling like you’re staying in a theme park version of the city.

What could be improved: The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is quite rude. Especially one lady whose name I don't know unfortunately. The hotel is located on a noisy and +18 street. If you are going to visit with children, I don't recommend it.Кирилл from Russia – 11 May 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Elevator still not working. Ugly street.Susan from United States – 12 December 2024 (9/10)
This property is centrally located, a 10-20 minute walk from nearly everywhere I wanted to go (10-12 minutes to the Christkindlmarkt). The rooms are small but they had what I needed. The breakfast is great, on par with more expensive hotels. I recommend it.
