Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Grace-Design-Apartment” pop up in my search results, I almost scrolled past it thinking it was just another generic Airbnb with a fancy name. But this little gem actually surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible. The location is seriously central – like, you know that sweet spot where you can walk to everything but you’re not dealing with the chaos of the main tourist drag? That’s exactly where this place sits. I found myself discovering these charming side streets I never would’ve stumbled across if I’d stayed in one of those big chain hotels further out.

The apartment itself has this understated design thing going on that actually works. It’s not trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect (thank god), but there’s clearly thought put into every corner. The kitchen was way more functional than I expected – I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal here, not just heat up instant noodles. What really got me was the natural light streaming through these big windows in the morning… honestly made my coffee taste better just sitting there watching the neighborhood wake up. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t spend the first night tossing and turning like I usually do in new places, and there’s something to be said for blackout curtains that actually work. Small thing, but it matters when you’re dealing with jet lag or just want to sleep in without the sun blasting you awake at 6 AM.

Here’s the thing though – this isn’t a hotel where you’re going to get room service or a concierge who knows your name. It’s more like borrowing a really well-appointed friend’s place, which honestly worked perfectly for me. Check-in was smooth (they sent clear instructions ahead of time), and when I had a minor issue with the WiFi, they sorted it out within an hour. The neighborhood gets busy during lunch and dinner rushes – you’ll hear some street noise if you’re sensitive to that kind of thing, but it dies down pretty early. I actually found it kind of charming, all those conversations in different languages drifting up from the café downstairs. What really sold me on this place was how it felt lived-in rather than sterile. You get the sense that someone actually cares about this space, not just sees it as another booking to fill. For the price point and that 9.1 rating, I can see why people keep coming back – it’s got that rare combination of being practical and pleasant without any unnecessary fuss.

  The property location was fantastic for exploring the old town, walking to Oktoberfest and getting the train towards the football stadium and airport.
  The apartment was everything we needed for a few days. The bed/living area was enough space for us, with modern and clean decor. The location was central but also set back so quiet. We were very pleased!

  Ich hatte das Vergnügen, zwei Apartments der herzigen Vermieterin kennenzulernen. Für beide gilt: sehr gute Lage, sehr gutes Interieur, beste Ausstattung. Ich habe mich rundum wohl und bestens betreut gefühlt!
  Sollte ich nochmal nach München kommen, weiß ich schon jetzt, an wen ich mich wenden werde.
  
  What could be improved: Es war ein bißchen sehr viel Schnee an diesen Tagen – aber da können die Münchner ja nichts zu. Für einen München Trip empfiehlt sich jedenfalls festes Schuhwerk.
