Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about the Eurostars Book Hotel? The name actually makes sense once you step inside – there are books everywhere, and I mean everywhere, but in this really thoughtful way that doesn’t feel gimmicky. It’s got this literary theme running through it that feels genuine, like someone who actually loves reading designed the place rather than just throwing some dusty volumes on shelves for decoration.
The whole vibe is sophisticated without being stuffy, which honestly can be hard to pull off with a 4-star place. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels that try too hard to impress, but this one just… gets it right. The rooms have this warm, library-like atmosphere with rich woods and comfortable reading nooks – and the lighting is actually good enough to read by, which you’d be surprised how many “book-themed” places mess up. The beds are solid too, none of that too-soft nonsense that leaves you feeling like you slept in quicksand. What really impressed me was the attention to sound – it’s genuinely quiet, even when the hotel’s busy. They’ve clearly thought about insulation, which makes a huge difference if you’re trying to get decent sleep.
The staff seems to actually know their stuff about the local area, not just the standard tourist traps everyone recommends. During check-in (which was refreshingly quick), the front desk person gave me specific recommendations based on what I mentioned I was interested in – actual neighborhood spots, timing for avoiding crowds, that sort of thing. The 8.2 rating makes total sense to me because while everything works well and the experience is genuinely pleasant, it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want, honestly. The whole place has this lived-in comfort that makes you want to settle in with a good book – which I guess is kind of the point. If you’re looking for a pool party atmosphere or cutting-edge tech in every corner, this probably isn’t your spot, but if you want somewhere that feels like a really well-run, thoughtful hotel where you can actually relax, it delivers on that promise without any fuss.

What could be improved: Everything from the hotel was excellent.Richard from Canada – 24 May 2025 (8/10)
The hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the train station, and approx. 15 minutes to the Old Town (Marienplatz). Our suite was spacious with comfortable beds, large shower, and a mini fridge. We did have two issues that arose during our 7 night stay, but then were compensated for, as my wife says – by the very friendly and charming Nico! The bartender, Edo, was a real gentleman who served us our drinks and dinners, including room service, a few nights, with absolute grace! Very convenient to have the restaurant open until 10:30 pm, especially after getting back from long day trips by train! Food is reasonable and tasty! Good choices for the buffet breakfast, and my wife also loved getting morning hugs from Dicel! She’s really the sweetest!
What could be improved: Definitely need face cloths in the rooms!! Reception should pick up all calls from the suite and put on hold if busy, but especially on evenings/ nights when it's quiet.E from United States – 22 May 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Location
Not in a very good place -distance wise it’s close to main streets but the neighborhood itself is problematic.

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was very nice and responsive. Unfortunately, the boiler was not working for one of the days we stayed at the hotel. Nothing that could have been controlled. Overall a good facility. Great staff. Accessibly located.
What could be improved: N/AJulie from Australia – 10 May 2025 (8/10)
Cute little hotel that has all the essentials. Very spacious room.
What could be improved: Gym was next to the sauna and when the sauna was in use the heat would poor into the gym. Made it hard to work out due to the heat.
