Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to limehome Munich Fritz-Erler Str, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s more like stepping into a well-designed apartment building — which, honestly, is exactly what makes it work so well. The four-star property sits quietly on Fritz-Erler Street in the Ramersdorf-Perlach district, and there’s something refreshingly understated about the whole approach. You’re not dealing with a bustling lobby scene here, just clean lines and that distinctly German attention to functional design.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I really appreciate about this location — you’re in a proper Munich neighborhood, not some tourist bubble. Ramersdorf-Perlach feels authentically local, with actual residents going about their daily lives around you. The area has that residential charm where you’ll find neighborhood bakeries and small cafes that locals actually frequent. It’s well-connected to the city center (the transport links are genuinely solid), but you get to experience Munich like someone who actually lives here. Couples seem to particularly love this setup, and I can see why — there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of the city.
The Apartment-Style Experience
What sets limehome apart is how they’ve essentially created hotel-quality apartments rather than traditional hotel rooms. You get your own space with a proper kitchenette, which means you can grab groceries from the local markets and actually cook if you want to. The design is clean and modern without being sterile — think Scandinavian-influenced with warm touches that make it feel livable rather than just Instagram-ready. Everything works exactly as it should, from the WiFi to the appliances, and there’s enough space to actually spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase.
Practical Perks
The self-check-in system might sound impersonal, but it’s actually liberating once you get used to it. No waiting around for reception, no awkward small talk when you stumble in late — just grab your key code and you’re sorted. The building itself is secure and quiet, which matters more than you might think when you’re trying to get a decent night’s sleep. Having a washing machine in your unit is one of those things that seems minor until you’re three days into a trip and realize you can actually do laundry instead of packing for every possible scenario.
Why Guests Love It
The high ratings make perfect sense when you experience how this place operates. It’s that sweet spot between hotel service standards and apartment-style freedom that’s surprisingly hard to find. You’re not paying for services you don’t need, but everything that matters — cleanliness, functionality, location — is handled really well. The fact that recent guests consistently rate the location so highly tells you something important: this isn’t just about having a place to sleep, it’s about having a genuine base in Munich that feels like it could actually be yours for a few days.
Apartments in Munich provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Bavarian markets and cook with regional Alpine specialties.

Guest Reviews
Conveniently located not far from the train station (30 min ride to city) and a supermarket. Both easy to walk to. Staff contact via WhatsApp which was fine also. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean and big enough for a few nights stay. Would stay here again.
What could be improved: Nothing.
Very easy checkin, no keys. Good locality - green but also close to markets and restaurants. Parking found on the street for free. Comfy bed, small bed for baby, very nice and clean shower. Bright room. Elevator in the house. Coffee and tea included.
What could be improved: For longer stays you might miss dishwasher, but for short stay is all ok with the equipment there.
Excellent location close to subway and shopping center, very supportive staff, clean rooms with everything we needed for short stay.
What could be improved: One of the rooms didn’t have a proper door to the toilet, the other had decorated window to the room, not very comfortable if you’re not staying alone in the room.
Well appointed, well equipped and very clean.
Cleanliness, facilities, transportation, location, hospitality staff.
What could be improved: Nothing
Most of the time you can easily find free parking places on the street. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Bed is really comfortable. PEP shopping center nearby.
What could be improved: The cleaning staff was very loud everyday. The room is not dirty, but it could be even a bit cleaner.
- Conveniently located from station
- Clean rooms
- Prompt customer service
What could be improved: The walls are very thin so you can hear next door.
İt was very clean, well equipped and new.
What could be improved: The sofa was really uncomfortable to sleep
Clean apartment.
Easy parking on the street in front of the property.
What could be improved: The sofa bed was not comfortable at all! We woke up with body aches.
It is located 20 minutes away from the center of Munich.
The Limehome Munich is a self-check in hotel with no staff on the property. The company appears to have occupied a small portion of a large residential property that is multi-level with 100's of rooms. They do provide 24/7 live competent support over the phone if you need assistance. I did call the support staff to assist in entering the property. I booked two separate rooms. They required entering the building at two separate locations, within approximately 60ft/20M of each other. This which was described in the emails with the access codes to the building and the rooms. I do commend the phone support staff for their patience while assisting our entry into the property.
Once in the rooms, they were clean and neat. They had well apportioned kitchenettes with a sink, 2 burner stove, refrigerator, cups, bowls, glasses and silverware, a toaster, water kettle, and a Nespresso machine with coffee pods and an assortment of teas. The rooms were exceptionally quiet during our stay, day and night. The rooms did have radiant heaters with individual thermostats on them. We did not need to use the room heaters at all. The was no central air conditioning vents in the rooms, nor was there an air conditioning thermostat. We were able to tilt the large windows to let in fresh air and provide a cool ventilation. This might be a problem during heat waves, but it was a non-issue for our stay.
A laundry room was available for 4.50 euros to wash (auto dispensing soap included) and 4,50 euros to dry. You'll need to sign up on the wewash website or down load the wewash app. The machines worked well.
We attended Oktoberfest during our stay and used the U Bahn (subway) to get to and from the event. There was a 10 minute walk to the U Bahn near the Limehome and about a 5 minute walk to the Oktoberfest grounds using the U5 Line. A day pass U Bahn ticket was approximately 9 euros.
What could be improved: I would suggest adding a Map showing the two separate entrances in the email with the access codes. There was a map on the front of the building, showing the entrances but was poorly lit if you are arriving at night. One entrance faces the street and the other is in a covered breezeway. Our shower was a slow to drain, but it did drain shortly after showering.
