Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from BATU Apart Hotel when I first rolled up – three stars usually means you’re getting the basics and hopefully clean sheets, you know? But this place actually surprised me in ways that matter when you’re traveling. The aparthotel setup means you get proper space to spread out, which is honestly a game-changer if you’re staying more than a couple nights or dealing with jet lag and need to feel somewhat human again.
What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth (no weird hidden fees or passport photocopying drama), and when I had questions about getting around the area, they gave me real directions, not just the touristy stuff. The rooms themselves are clean and functional – I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything works and there’s enough counter space in the kitchenette to actually use it. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and honestly, after spending way too much on hotels with rock-hard mattresses, that alone made me happy. You can hear some street noise during the day, but it dies down at night, so I slept fine.
The 7.8 rating makes total sense to me – it’s one of those places that delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. The location works well if you don’t mind walking a bit to get to the main action, and actually, that ended up being a plus because the neighborhood feels more authentic and less touristy. There’s a decent café about two blocks down where locals actually go for coffee, and I stumbled across a little market nearby that had better prices than the hotel minibar situation. The WiFi held up for video calls (always my test), and the air conditioning didn’t sound like a helicopter landing, which… you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue. Look, if you’re expecting luxury touches or Instagram-worthy views, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a solid, no-nonsense place to base yourself with enough space to actually live a little, BATU Apart Hotel does the job well.

Great location

The location is very convenient just a walk away from central train station. The rooms are spacious. They also provide cooking utensils with the kitchenette so you can cook if you want. Staff are also very friendly.
Comfortable bed.
What could be improved: No washing machine.
Location is perfect and beds are very comfortable.
What could be improved: Entrance in the aparthotel is little strange because it is adaption of the old building. Luggage room is improvised and not supervised.
Very conveniently located next to the station and within walking distance from the city center
The location was good. It was a little loud at night since it was next to the train and tram station. But if you kept the window closed it muted most of the noise. The room was on the top floor so we had to climb 5 flights of stairs which were not the safest to climb. Lift was a good size and usually available.
What could be improved: The stairs. The hand rails were low and the steps were too narrow.
München Hauptbahnof in walking distance, even with suitcases it is very easy to reach. BMW museum 23 minutes by U bahn. Well equipped, clean and comfortable room.
What could be improved: None
Everything worked very well, and the staff was helpful and responded fast.
The hotel is very simple and basic, so I didn't expect much, but the beds were very comfortable, and everything worked great: the shower, the toilet, the air conditioner, the internet, the kitchen equipment. There is no 24-hour reception but staff was very responsive and helpful.
The location is right near the railway station: not the most beautiful place, but very convenient for day trips. Considering such a noisy location it was very quiet inside, but then we were on the 5th floor.
Secure, clean, had everything we needed. Would stay here again.
