Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name “1st Creatif Hotel Elephant,” I wasn’t sure what to expect. The whole elephant theme could’ve gone really cheesy, but they actually pulled it off in a way that’s more charming than gimmicky. It’s a solid 3-star place that knows exactly what it is, and honestly, sometimes that’s refreshing.

The first thing you notice walking in is how they’ve woven elephant motifs throughout the space without beating you over the head with it – think subtle artwork and carved details rather than giant pink elephant statues everywhere. The lobby has this warm, slightly eclectic vibe that immediately tells you someone put actual thought into the design instead of just ordering everything from a hotel catalog. Check-in was pretty smooth when I stayed, though I’d recommend getting there before evening rush since they seem to have just a couple people working the desk. The staff genuinely seemed to care about getting things right, which you know what, goes a long way these days.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a decent 3-star – clean, functional, with enough personality to keep things interesting. My room had this great little seating area by the window, and the bed was actually comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses, so that matters). The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, though the water pressure could be better – not terrible, just not the kind of shower that’ll wake you up in the morning, if you know what I mean. One thing I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night. I mean, you’ll hear the occasional footsteps in the hallway, but nothing that kept me awake. The AC worked well too, which honestly can make or break a stay.

What really won me over was the breakfast setup – nothing fancy, but they clearly put effort into offering local options alongside the standard continental stuff. The coffee was actually good, not that burnt hotel lobby coffee you usually get. And the staff in the morning seemed to remember little details about guests, like how you liked your eggs or if you needed extra napkins. Those small touches add up. The 7.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. I’d definitely consider staying again, especially if you want something with a bit more character than your typical chain hotel but don’t need all the bells and whistles of a luxury place. Sometimes you just want a comfortable bed, a good shower, and people who seem happy to see you – and honestly, that’s what you’ll get here.

  A very good location, we used as a base too and from the airport so it’s very handy for the train station. It had everything we needed really for a short stay. Easy to find and we arrived late so checked in with the hotel Amba. Room was spacious and comfortable

  What could be improved: We had a negative experience with a staff member at check in which made the rest of our stay quite uncomfortable, the comment from the staff we felt belittled and it was slightly racist towards my group members. All from simply asking if we had access to a kettle in the room (which you don’t).

  The hotel location was good, we can access city center and some important point easily. Also, the price is not expensive.

  Very close to Bahnhof, coffee shops and restaurants. Clean simple room with large window that opened. Hot water in shower and free coffee and tea in lobby. Staff was very friendly.

  The location is perfect very near to Central train station and tram stop. The fan in the room was useful in the warm weather, and the beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and made check in and check out extremely easy.
  
  What could be improved: Window from bathroom to bedroom was quite unusual, and our shower couldn't tighten so always fell down the pole, had to hold it by hand the whole time. We didn't see any issues with hot water as reported in other complaints
