Overview
First Impressions
The Wyndham Garden Munich Messe sits in the Trudering-Riem district, and honestly, it’s one of those places that grows on you. When I first pulled up, I wasn’t expecting much — it’s got that modern business hotel look — but there’s something refreshingly straightforward about it. The four-star property doesn’t try to be flashy, which I actually appreciated after dealing with some overly designed hotels in central Munich. You know what really caught my attention? The fact that they have their own parking right on site, which is honestly a godsend in this city.
Location & Getting Around
Trudering-Riem might not sound familiar, but it’s actually pretty smart positioning. You’re close enough to the Messe München (the big exhibition center) that you can practically walk there, which explains why I saw so many business travelers during my stay. The area feels more residential and authentic than the tourist-heavy spots downtown — I mean, you’ll see actual Munich locals going about their daily lives here. Getting into the city center takes about 20 minutes by U-Bahn, and the connections are pretty reliable once you figure out the system.
The Room Experience
My room was exactly what you’d expect from Wyndham — clean, functional, and surprisingly quiet given that we’re talking about a major city. The beds are actually quite comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I liked most was the attention to practical details — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets, and a bathroom that doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a submarine. The views aren’t spectacular, but honestly, you’re probably not spending much time staring out the window anyway.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast setup here is where they really shine, and I’m not just saying that because I love a good morning meal. They’ve got this extensive buffet that covers pretty much every dietary need you can think of — Continental, Full English, vegetarian options, even gluten-free stuff. I watched them accommodate an American family one morning who wanted something familiar, and they handled it without any fuss. The restaurant area gets busy around 7:30 AM with all the business travelers, so if you prefer a quieter breakfast, aim for earlier or later.
Why Guests Love It
There’s a reason couples rate this place so highly — it strikes that perfect balance between being professional enough for business trips but relaxed enough for leisure stays. The staff actually seems to care about what they’re doing, which makes a bigger difference than you’d think. You’re not paying downtown Munich prices, but you’re still getting solid quality and easy access to everything that matters. It’s the kind of place where you can focus on why you came to Munich in the first place, rather than dealing with hotel drama.
Munich hotels provide guests with luxurious accommodations in Bavaria’s capital, known for its impressive architecture and world-famous beer culture.

Guest Reviews
I booked this room because it offered good value for money out of the Messe days. The hotel is a bit far off from the city center, but the underground station is close. The room was quite good, the surroundings of the hotel very peaceful during the weekend.
What could be improved: Small things: no glass (only cup) in the room, the hairdryer was not up to the job. I am sure the friendly staff would have helped me if I complained, so these are not serious issues, only some room for improvement.
peaceful sleep without any disturbance of traffic
What could be improved: weekends public buses were not operational
Nice, clean and big family room (actually two combined rooms) with kitchenette. Comfy beds, spatious bathroom
What could be improved: Parking is paid 10 euro. Not that much but just letting know
Large single room, modern and clean with excellent shower room. Good transport links for central Munich and beyond.
Large, quiet rooms, lots of green space, good restaurant area
What could be improved: Pillows were not good (too soft and thin). Blankets were too small and thin as well. Sleeping was least comfortable part of stay.
Connecting rooms for family stay
Good location, subway is not far away.
What could be improved: Some guests were loud.
Very clean, nice staff
What could be improved: It is a bit outside City center, but not that far away
People slam the door to take the lift. Avoid rooms close to the door to lift (ours was 333).
Everything was perfect! I would like the water to be warmer.
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Nice staff. Location is near to the metro station and bus stop. Overall a good experience with Wyndham.
