You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from WESTSIDE Hotel when I first walked up – I mean, it’s a solid three-star place, nothing flashy from the outside. But honestly, sometimes those are the spots that surprise you the most, and this one absolutely did.

The thing about WESTSIDE is that it gets the fundamentals so right that you start noticing all these little touches that clearly come from people who actually care about running a hotel. The lobby has this lived-in comfort that feels genuine rather than staged – sort of like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place who happens to have really good taste. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no upselling or lengthy explanations about amenities I didn’t ask about), and the staff actually seemed to remember guests’ names, which is rarer than it should be these days. My room was on the quieter side of the building, thank goodness, because you can definitely hear some street activity if you’re facing the main road – though it dies down pretty early in the evening.

What really struck me was how thoughtfully everything was set up. The Wi-Fi actually works everywhere, the shower pressure is fantastic, and someone clearly thought about where you’d want to plug in your phone charger. I mean, these sound like basic things, but you’d be amazed how many places get them wrong. The beds are properly comfortable too – not too soft, not too firm, just that sweet spot where you actually sleep well instead of waking up feeling like you wrestled with the mattress all night. And honestly, for a three-star hotel, the housekeeping is exceptional. Towels were always fresh, and they managed that trick of making the room feel clean without drowning it in chemical smells. The breakfast situation is simple but done well – nothing fancy, just good coffee and decent options that’ll get you started for the day without breaking the bank or your diet.

Here’s the thing that really won me over though: the staff genuinely seems to know the area and can point you toward spots that aren’t just the obvious tourist traps. They steered me toward this little café about two blocks away that I never would have found otherwise, and gave me the heads up about which streets to avoid during rush hour. It’s that kind of local insight that makes a difference between just having a place to sleep and actually feeling like you’re experiencing a neighborhood. The location itself is pretty smart too – you’re close enough to get where you need to go without being right in the middle of all the chaos and noise. Parking can be a bit tight during peak times, but there are usually spots within a block or two if you’re willing to walk a little. For what you’re paying, especially considering that 9-star rating reflects real guest experiences, WESTSIDE delivers exactly what it promises and then some. It’s the kind of place you’d actually recommend to people you like.

  Excellent overstay night on our way from Munich to Oberstaufen. Room and facilities are lovely (beds, kids room, baby cot, great shower!), staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

  Very clean and nice hotel. It doesn't offer any fancy services, but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay for one or couple of nights, it's a perfect place. Especially if the location is ok for you.

  Nice design. Modern comfortable room, Close to autobahn but location itself is quite, perfect breakfast.
  
  What could be improved: Hotel descriptions says free parking but this is related to outdoor parking only which s limited. Guests can use underground parking on site but for additional fee.

  The room was clean, stylish and extremely spacious and comfortable for a family of 5. The room also has a table and sitting chairs. Sleeping setup was 1 room with a queen size bed and the 2nd room had 3 single beds (bunk bed and 1 single). Wifi was strong and plenty of parking. Staff was extremely informative and friendly at check in/out. Nice area restaurant recommendations as well.

  Being a foreign traveler can be intimidating, however, from the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by Tobias. We were visiting for Oktoberfest and so we had so many questions. Tobias was extremely kind and patient. He spent 20 plus minutes recommending attractions, food, transportation, etc. He was the best! He even personally offered to drive us to the train station via shuttle. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortably fit the 5 of us. Westside hotel is a family owned cozy spot with great value. The staff alone made us feel so welcomed. I am not writing this review out of requirement for any promotional deal. I am writing this because I will never forget the service we experience here. The staff here truly touched my heart.
