Overview
You know what struck me first about Vier Zimmer? The name literally means “four rooms” in German, and honestly, that tells you everything about this place’s philosophy – it’s intimate, deliberate, and refreshingly honest about what it is. I mean, in a world where every boutique hotel claims to be “curated” and “bespoke,” here’s a spot that just says “we have four rooms, and we do them really well.”
The 4-star rating feels spot-on, though that 8.6 guest score actually undersells the experience a bit. This isn’t the kind of place where you’ll find a massive lobby with marble everything and uniformed staff hovering around – instead, you get this incredibly personal attention that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-connected friend’s place. The check-in was refreshingly smooth (no long lines, obviously), and the staff actually remembered my name throughout my stay, which… well, it’s easier with only four rooms, but still nice. The rooms themselves have this lived-in elegance – think quality linens that have been broken in just right, not crisp hotel sheets that feel like cardboard. I noticed they use locally-made soaps that actually smell like something you’d want to use at home, not that generic hotel lavender scent that follows you everywhere.
What really works here is how they’ve embraced the small scale instead of fighting it. There’s no restaurant trying to be everything to everyone, but they’ll point you toward the best spots within walking distance – and I mean the actual best spots, not just places that give them referral fees. The building itself has character (some might call the floors slightly creaky, but I found it charming), and you can tell someone put thought into every detail without going overboard. Parking was surprisingly easy for what I assume is a pretty central location, though I’d still recommend asking about it when you book. The only minor thing – and this is really minor – is that with just four rooms, if you end up next to someone who likes their TV loud, you’ll know about it. But honestly, most people who choose a place like this tend to be pretty considerate travelers anyway. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between a soulless chain hotel and an overly precious boutique property, this hits it perfectly.

Guest Reviews
It's quirky. The beds were pretty comfortable.
What could be improved: It was a lot darker inside than I expected, the living room is not very comfortable (and in a bedroom), the design is cool but it's a bit run down already.
Nice location near metro/train.
What could be improved: Basement location with 4 spacious bedrooms, but limited common area as we were a family. One room had a leak from outside. Not so nice
The location
Lots of space in bedrooms.
Check-in was very easy.
What could be improved: Kitchen is a bit outdated and small.
Big rooms with Tv , each room has a queen size bed
What could be improved: No living room
The host was very responsive, accommodated any reasonable requests, and quickly provided any requested information. It was a pleasure to liaise with Andreas.
great location, apartment very clean and tastefully done. owner is very responsive.
What could be improved: only 1 bathroom for this big apartment. the place is tastefully dine up but the finishing is quite rough and the welded metal plates (bed frames, in the kitchen sitting place) can be quite sharp. one of the tenants was hurt
Location close to the metro. Very clean apartment, well equipped.
What could be improved: Beds were great for single, not a couple as split in the middle
Central and easily accessible location! Many beds and nice dining area!
What could be improved: Only one bathroom for showering.
