You know what caught me off guard about this place? It actually feels like staying in someone’s Munich apartment rather than some sterile hotel room – and I mean that in the best possible way. The location on Bodenseestraße might not sound glamorous if you’re thinking touristy Munich, but honestly, being this close to the S8 station is brilliant. I could hop on the train and be in the city center in about twenty minutes, which beats dealing with parking in the Altstadt any day.

The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for what you’d expect at this price point. The kitchen – and I’m talking a proper kitchen here, not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation – has everything you’d actually need if you want to cook. I picked up some ingredients at the nearby Edeka (there’s one just a short walk away) and made breakfast a couple mornings, which saved me a fortune compared to hotel dining. The neighborhood has this quiet, residential feel that I really appreciated after long days of sightseeing. You’re in Aubing-Lochhausen-Langwied, which sounds intimidating but it’s basically just a peaceful area where actual Müncheners live their lives. The streets are tree-lined, there’s barely any tourist foot traffic, and you get a genuine sense of what living in Munich might actually be like.

What really sold me on the place was the attention to small details – good WiFi (I had to work a few evenings), decent water pressure in the shower, and blackout curtains that actually block light. The 9.2 rating makes sense when you consider it’s delivering exactly what it promises without any pretense. Sure, it’s not fancy – the furniture is functional rather than Instagram-worthy, and you won’t find any marble countertops or fancy toiletries. But it’s clean, comfortable, and the kind of place where you can spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re imposing on someone’s showroom. The S-Bahn connection is honestly the star here though – Munich’s public transport system is so efficient that being slightly outside the center doesn’t feel like a compromise at all. If anything, I slept better without the constant hum of tourist activity outside my window, and I still made it to Marienplatz faster than friends who stayed in “central” hotels but had to navigate crowded streets to reach the train stations.

Hotel in Munich booking should be done early, especially during Oktoberfest when the city hosts the world’s largest beer festival and cultural celebration.

  This place made my business trip so comfortable. Everything is nearby. S bahn, a supermarket etc.
  owners are friendly, welcoming too. Place is so comfy, clean, friendly, with good wifi, smelled good, even good for a group of friends or family. Also like home stay. Enough facilities to prepare your own meal.

  Die Wohnung hat unserer ganzen Familie sehr gut gefallen. Man sieht, dass entweder kürzlich renoviert wurde oder dass das Gebäude neu ist. Das Apartment ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet – alles hat seinen Platz, nichts ist überflüssig. Die Gastgeberin hat an viele Kleinigkeiten gedacht, die den Aufenthalt besonders angenehm machen.
  
  Alles Notwendige war vorhanden: Küche, Bad und Zimmer sind bis ins kleinste Detail ausgestattet. In vielen Apartments oder Hotels findet man nicht einmal ein einfaches Shampoo – hier gab es sogar Zahnpasta. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und herzlich. Ein großes Dankeschön an sie für dieses wunderbare Apartment!

  Die Schlüsselübergabe und Einweisung erfolgte persönlich. Es ist ein ziemlich neues 2-Raum-Appartment im DG eines Wohnhauses. Die Wohnung ist komplett eingerichtet. Das Sofa im Wohnzimmer kann zum Bett umgerüstet werden. Die S-Bahn-Linien 8 und 5 halten regelmäßig in fußläufiger Nähe, so dass eine Top-Anbindung an Innenstadt und auch den Flughafen besteht.

  Estupendo alojamiento, con una cómoda cama (tamaño queen/king size), con un salón con televisor grande, una cocina con todos los utensilios necesarios, cafetera y baño.
