You know what? The Rilano Hotel München is one of those places that sort of sneaks up on you. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind with jaw-dropping luxury, but there’s something genuinely comfortable about it that makes you want to stay an extra night. It’s got that solid 4-star feel without trying too hard – think crisp linens and a lobby that actually feels welcoming rather than like a showroom.

The location is honestly pretty smart. You’re not right in the thick of the Marienplatz chaos (which, let’s be real, can get exhausting), but you’re well-connected enough that getting around Munich feels easy rather than like a project. The staff actually seems to know the city – I had someone recommend this little bakery that wasn’t anywhere near the tourist maps, and it ended up being the highlight of my morning routine. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that hovering-while-they-upsell-you nonsense. The rooms have this clean, unfussy vibe that works well after a long day of walking around the city. Nothing fancy, but the beds are actually comfortable and the bathrooms have decent water pressure – you’d be surprised how often that’s not a given.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night. Munich can get pretty lively, especially during festival season, but somehow the Rilano manages to feel like a proper retreat. The breakfast situation is solid without being over-the-top – good coffee, fresh bread, and they don’t skimp on the local options. I mean, that 7.6 rating makes sense when you think about it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. You’ll sleep well, eat decently, and the staff won’t make you feel like you’re bothering them with basic questions about getting around. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need – a place that just works without any drama.

  Good comfortable rooms, modern facilities, nice breakfast buffet.
  
  What could be improved: Location is not ideal to go to the city center and back. Public transportation is great, but requires walking some 600-700 metres each way. Some nice restaurants and shops can be reached by foot around Leopoldstrasse (1000 metres)

  The rooms were of perfect size for our stay at least. Very clean and neat too! The toilet was also very well maintained. The staff was civil and diligent when asked help. Taxis were lined up in front of the structure if transport was needed. 10 minutes walk from the U-Bahn as well. Great quality and tasty food
  
  What could be improved: You could hear everything from the corridor. No air conditioning nor any fridge. On the weekends you might wanna keep your windows closed due to the loud parties going on around, and with the absence of an AC, this can be torture. Not a large variety of breakfast foods, at least for the price we paid

  What could be improved: The garage is very expensive, it is weird to me that you have to pay for parking in such a nice hotel. The breakfast is also abnormally expensive, for 24€/person I’d expect a dinner with champagne at least lol.
