You know what caught me off guard about Stay KooooK Munich City? The name made me roll my eyes initially – I mean, those extra O’s felt a bit try-hard – but honestly, this place has substance behind the quirky branding. It’s tucked on Schützenstraße in Ludwigsvorstadt, which puts you right in that sweet spot where locals actually hang out, not just the tourist crowds stumbling around Marienplatz.

The whole “NEW OPENING” thing isn’t just marketing fluff either. You can tell they put real thought into the design – everything feels fresh and intentional, from the lobby that somehow manages to be both sleek and cozy (they’ve got this great lighting that shifts throughout the day) to rooms that actually make sense for how people travel now. I appreciated the little details, like USB ports where you’d actually want them and storage that works for more than just a business traveler’s tiny roller bag. The building itself has character too – you’re in Munich proper, so there’s that solid, old-world foundation, but they’ve layered in contemporary touches that feel genuine rather than trying too hard to be Instagram-worthy.

What really sold me on the location was walking around the neighborhood. You’re literally a five-minute stroll from Sendlinger Tor, which means easy U-Bahn access to anywhere you need to go, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by the kind of cafes and shops where you’ll hear more German than English. The Glockenbachviertel is right there – that’s where Munich gets interesting after dark, with proper bars and restaurants that aren’t serving overpriced schnitzel to tour groups. I grabbed breakfast most mornings at this little bakery on Reichenbachstraße (maybe a three-minute walk) that had lines of locals, which is always a good sign. Sure, you’ll hear some street noise – it’s a city, not a resort – but nothing that decent windows can’t handle, and honestly, I’d rather have that energy than be stuck in some sterile hotel district. The 8.9 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be luxury, but it nails what a good three-star should do: clean, comfortable, smart location, and staff who seem to actually care about what they’re doing rather than just going through the motions.

  What could be improved: I did not like the glass wall/door for the Bathroom. Main door to the street did not always fully close, so I did not feel safe during evening/night when there was not starf.

  It was really nice, clean and new. Also good location!
  The self check-in was easy and comfortable.

  What could be improved: When we arrived wet from the rain outside the room was freezing at 17 degrees.
  The temp controller had no heating function so we got it up only so high as 19 degrees by turning out off.
  Took hot showers to warm ourselves up but would've been nice to have a comfier temp to start with.

  What could be improved: The apartment layout was attrocious. You have a full view of the bathroom while sitting on the bed, including the toilet.
  
  The sound isolation was bad. You could hear everything people would do on the room adjacent to ours. To the point the words were clear and you could understand the conversations.
  
  The surrounding location had a lot of constructions going on.

  Friendly and accommodating staff. Issues with delayed check in and air conditioning not working during our stay. However, staff were extremely nice, understanding, and quickly resolved the issues. Rooms are clean, large, and beds are comfortable. Highly recommend and would 100% stay again.
  
  What could be improved: Didn’t receive my room until 6 PM when check in was at 3 PM however staff did give us discount because of this. This was due to too many rooms needing cleaning after guests checking out. Owners should consider having more cleaning staff during these days.

  What could be improved: La habitación un poco pequeña. La falta total de personal, no ayuda en caso de necesitar ayuda. No había un sitio donde dejar las maletas el día de salida. Demasiado todo digital. No repetiría.

  Reservamos dos estudios. Eran bonitos funcionales, la cocina estaba bien equipada para preparar desayunos o cenas ligeras. La cama era comfortable y había espacio suficiente para guardar la ropa. La limpieza era impecable, todo estaba muy nuevo y el aislamiento con la calle y con el resto del hotel era excelente. Cualquier incidencia la solucionaron rápidamente el personal del hotel. El concepto, con zona común con salas de estar cómoda, baño, cocina para preparar cosas y la lavandería me gustó mucho. Está como a cinco minutos andando de Karlplatz, con lo cual es muy céntrico y está bien comunicado con la estación de tren, metro, etc. La calle donde está situado, peatonal, es bastante tranquila. Hay un supermercado en la misma calle, otra ventaja a tener en cuenta si se va a un apartamento.
  
  What could be improved: Es sistema para entrar con el código de primeras resulta farragoso pero al final se soluciona. Lo peor fue el cuarto de baño de los dos estudios con la puerta y la pared de separación a la habitación hecha totalmente de cristal transparente. Es incomodísimo por la pérdida de intimidad. por los ruidos y la luz que pasan al resto de la habitación. Si no fuera por esto, el alojamiento es de 10.
