Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Schwabing-Studio” in the booking confirmation, I wasn’t expecting much from what sounded like another cookie-cutter apartment rental. But you know what? This little place actually surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible.

The moment you step onto that balcony (and trust me, you’ll spend way more time out there than you planned), you get why they put “sunset view” right in the name. I’m talking about those golden hour moments where Munich’s skyline just sort of melts into this warm, hazy glow – especially looking west toward the Olympic Park area. The balcony itself isn’t huge, maybe fits two chairs and a small table, but it’s positioned perfectly to catch those evening colors. I actually found myself planning my whole day around getting back in time for sunset, which sounds cheesy but honestly became my favorite part of staying there. The studio space inside is pretty straightforward – I mean, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble countertops or anything fancy. But everything works, the bed’s comfortable enough, and there’s this nice natural light that comes through in the mornings.

What really sold me on the location was being right in Schwabing – and if you know Munich at all, you know this neighborhood has that perfect mix of student energy and local charm without feeling too touristy. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from the English Garden (which, by the way, is where half the neighborhood goes to jog or grab a beer by the Chinese Tower on weekends). The U-Bahn connections are solid too – Münchner Freiheit is close by, so getting down to Marienplatz or wherever takes maybe fifteen minutes. I noticed the area gets pretty lively on weekend nights, especially around Leopoldstraße, but the studio itself stays relatively quiet. Well, except for Saturday mornings when the street cleaning trucks come through – learned that one the hard way after a late night out. Parking was actually easier than I expected for this part of the city, though you’ll want to figure out the resident permit situation if you’re staying more than a few days. The 7.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow you away, but it does exactly what it promises. The sunset thing isn’t just marketing fluff, the balcony really delivers, and you’re in one of Munich’s most walkable neighborhoods. Perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it, even if it’s only for a few nights.

  L’immeuble et le quartier sont récents et pratiques. Notre hôte était très réactif et nous a très bien reçus, y compris en faisant un gros effort d’organisation pour l’horaire de notre arrivée.

  Die Straßenbahnhaltestelle hinter dem Haus, nachdem wir sie gefunden hatten.
  Toller spontaner Service zu sehr später Stunde vom Reiseveranstalter, da WLan nicht funktioniert hat. Vielen Dank hierfür nochmal an dieser Stelle
  
  What could be improved: Ich hätte mir die Anreiseinformationen früher gewünscht. Parkplatz am Haus zum Mieten wäre toll gewesen. Die Parksituation ist eher "bescheiden" in München.
