Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Premier Inn München City Ost, you immediately get that reliable, no-nonsense vibe that Premier Inn does so well. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — this is a solid three-star hotel that knows exactly what it’s doing. The lobby feels fresh and modern, with that signature purple branding that somehow manages to be cheerful without being overwhelming. Staff greeted me with genuine smiles, and honestly, after a long day of travel, that kind of straightforward efficiency was exactly what I needed.
The Bogenhausen Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re in Bogenhausen, which means you get that authentic Munich residential feel without the tourist crowds. The neighborhood has this lovely, lived-in quality with tree-lined streets and local cafes where you’ll actually hear more German than English. It’s about a 15-minute tram ride to Marienplatz, which honestly works out perfectly because you can explore the city center during the day and come back to somewhere that feels genuinely local. Plus, there’s decent parking here, which anyone who’s driven in Munich will tell you is worth its weight in gold.
Room Comfort
The room was exactly what I expected from Premier Inn — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. You know what impressed me? The bed was genuinely excellent, with those crisp white linens and pillows that actually support your head properly. The bathroom was compact but well-planned, with a powerful shower that didn’t leave you dancing around trying to get wet. There’s a decent work desk if you need to catch up on emails, and the blackout curtains actually work — something I always test because I’m a light sleeper.
Breakfast Worth Getting Up For
I’ll be honest, hotel breakfasts can be hit or miss, but this one surprised me. The buffet setup includes both continental options and a proper full English breakfast, which means you can go light with pastries and fruit or fuel up with eggs, bacon, and all the works. The coffee was actually good — not just hotel-lobby-acceptable, but properly good. I found myself lingering over breakfast longer than usual, partly because the dining area gets nice morning light and partly because, well, why rush when you’re on vacation?
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it balances being part of a reliable chain with feeling connected to Munich itself. You’re not in some generic hotel bubble — you’re staying in a real neighborhood where people live and work. The fact that couples rate it so highly makes perfect sense to me; there’s something romantic about having your own quiet corner of the city to retreat to after exploring. The value is solid too — you get Premier Inn’s consistent quality standards without paying city center prices. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day properly, and feel like you’re experiencing Munich rather than just visiting it.

Guest Reviews
Perfect for families 2+2, big and comfortable double bed. Good breakfast, own parking.
What could be improved: A bit far from the centre, there is no grocery store near the hotel to walk.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Located in quiet office areas. Staff are kind and supportive
What could be improved: No restaurants nearby. Car parking is charged, for hotel like this parking should be provided with no cost
Good value for money. Kind staff.
Did not have the breakfast
Nice, clean hotel, situated well. Only downside was no restaurant.
Nice beds and very quiet 🤐🤫
What could be improved: Nothing to improve
Really convenient hotel few minutes away from the city center.
The familly room was large and confortable, the breakfast simple but good.
Overall our stay was good, stayed for 2 nights. The room has enough space where you don’t feel suffocated with having 2 people in there. It was very clean when we came in. Front desk was very helpful and professional
What could be improved: Trying to find the parking garage was a hassle. Directions weren’t given clearly so that took a while but once we found it, it was fine.
Also, very early in the morning some kids were running around. Not a hotel problem but worth mentioning
Excellently decorated, clean, comfortable furniture.
What could be improved: It was a little chilly in the room.
