Hotel Description

Honestly, Pine Living caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. When you first roll up to Hanauer Straße in Moosach, you’re not exactly thinking “wow, this is where the magic happens,” you know? It’s this quiet residential stretch that feels more like where locals actually live than where tourists usually end up. But that’s actually what I loved about it.

The whole vibe here is refreshingly unpretentious. You walk into the lobby and it’s clean, modern enough without trying too hard – sort of that Scandinavian-meets-German efficiency thing that just works. The staff actually seemed to care when I checked in, which honestly isn’t always a given at three-star places. My room had this really nice natural light (face the courtyard if you can) and while it’s not huge, everything felt thoughtfully laid out. The bed was properly comfortable – I’m talking good sleep, not just “fine for one night” sleep. What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re still in Munich proper. You get that neighborhood feeling where you hear the occasional tram rumbling by on Hanauer, but it’s more comforting than disruptive.

Here’s what you should actually know if you’re considering staying here: Moosach isn’t Marienplatz, but that S-Bahn connection is golden. You’re looking at maybe 15 minutes to get into the heart of things, and the Moosach station is literally a short walk away. I found myself grabbing coffee at this little Turkish place around the corner most mornings – the kind of spot you’d never find if you were staying in the touristy areas. There’s also a decent Edeka nearby for snacks or whatever, which saved me from those overpriced hotel lobby purchases. The area comes alive differently than central Munich – it’s where you see people walking their dogs, kids heading to school, that real daily rhythm of the city. Sure, you won’t stumble out your front door into beer gardens and souvenir shops, but you will get a sense of what Munich feels like when it’s not performing for visitors. For the price point and that 7.7 rating, Pine Living delivers exactly what it promises – a comfortable, honest place to sleep that doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. If you’re the type who likes discovering a neighborhood rather than just checking sights off a list, this spot will grow on you quickly.

Hotels in Munich offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Alpine metropolis, with easy access to castles, museums, and traditional German experiences.

  • Good – Sami from Tunisia – July 20, 2025 (7/10)

    Location

  • New and spacious, but can improve – Robbertnl from Netherlands – July 19, 2025 (7/10)

The appartment is new, and spacious.
It is close to the metro.
    The beds where comfortable.

What could be improved: We had requested a baby bed, which was confirmed, but took at least 30 minutes after arrival before we got it.
The appartment was very hot, there is no AC.
Restaurant renovation down stairs gave a lot of noise during the day, jackhammer and drilling.

  • We highly recomend this apartment both for personal and family stays. – Nino from Georgia – July 22, 2025 (10/10)

  • Wonderful – Anonymous from China – June 20, 2025 (9/10)

the location is fairly good, very close to U1/3.

  • Wonderful – Eli from Spain – August 6, 2025 (9/10)

Molt amables i eficients.

What could be improved: Pis una mica buit i poc equipat (pocs plats i coberts, cap producte de neteja).

  • Wonderful – Kiss from Hungary – April 14, 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Az apartman teljesen új, ezért voltak még némi hiányosságok, de minden megoldódott.

– Torsten from Germany – April 10, 2025 (8/10)

Tiefgarage vorhanden.
