Overview
You know what caught me off guard about OneBavariaHomes? The name made me expect some touristy Alpine lodge situation, but this place actually feels more like staying in someone’s really well-appointed apartment building – in the best possible way. It’s got that solid 4-star foundation without any of the stuffiness, and honestly, the 8.3 rating makes perfect sense once you settle in.
The whole setup is refreshingly straightforward. Check-in was smooth (no hovering concierge trying to upsell you on spa treatments), and the staff genuinely seemed to know their stuff about the local area. I mean, these weren’t just scripted recommendations – they’d actually point you toward the bakery that opens earliest or mention which tram line gets sketchy after 10 PM. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake. Everything works properly – and I’m talking about the little things that usually drive you nuts, like shower pressure that doesn’t fluctuate when someone flushes a toilet somewhere else, or blackout curtains that actually block light. The beds hit that sweet spot where they’re firm enough that you won’t wake up with a crick in your neck, but soft enough that you’re not sleeping on a board.
What really sets this place apart is how it handles the whole “home away from home” concept without being cheesy about it. The common areas feel like spaces people actually use – there’s usually someone reading in the lobby chairs (which are genuinely comfortable, not just Instagram-pretty), and the coffee doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting there since breakfast service started. Parking wasn’t a nightmare, which… well, if you’ve tried to navigate European city centers with a rental car, you know that’s worth its weight in gold. The neighborhood vibe is just right too – quiet enough that you’re not dealing with street noise at all hours, but you don’t feel like you’re stuck in some sterile hotel district where the only food option is overpriced room service. I noticed they keep things pretty consistent throughout the building – the hallways don’t have that weird hotel smell, the elevators actually show up when you call them, and the Wi-Fi works in every corner I tried it from. It’s those details that make you realize why people end up coming back here instead of just booking whatever’s cheapest on the booking sites.

Guest Reviews
The room is very spacious and was great for us,
(three adults). It was all very clean and comfortable. The location is wonderful, very close to attractions and to the supermarket.
What could be improved: Since the check-in is fully automated, there’s no negotiation on getting the key 10 minutes earlier, even if the room is ready, which feels a bit annoying, (but also understandable). Other than that, it was a great stay.
location is pretty good. You can walk any destination and see lot of historical places
Clean, spacious and modern. Has a kitchenette with essential kitchen supplies.
What could be improved: The room is not air conditioned though there’s small electric fan provided. It gets noisy only when window is open.
It was in a good location with close access to the metro and easy 15min walk to the old town. The self check in was very simple although a personal greeting would have been a nice touch. The room was spacious and had some nice additions such as the coffee machine and local information (no English pocket guide). The bathroom was clean and shower very powerful which was great although did struggle to change the temperature as the right tap was stiff.
What could be improved: Unfortunately the third bed was very creaky and uncomfortable with a slat missing where the back was so caused a dip. The double bed featured only single duvets which was a shame. We were very disappointed not to have been informed about the maintenance and building works taking place directly outside our window and on multiple occasions were woken at 7am. The constant banging throughout the morning was unwelcome and not enjoyable for a holiday. One of the reading lights next to the bed was also hanging out when we arrived which could be dangerous.
Very clean. Amenities as expected and decent enough area.
What could be improved: Building work outside my bedroom.
Hotel was clean and well furnished. Easy check in check out
What could be improved: No trash in the room. Coffe machine with capsules avaible but not working! Shower need to be fixed.
spacious and fully equiped, close to the tube
What could be improved: could be cleaner
Perfect location - Friendly Staff & Auto Check in process. However there is a Parking issue
The room was very spacious and bright. It provided hairdryer and lot of room for clothes.
What could be improved: I would prefer the option to have 1 big blanket/cover instead of 2 for each person. It was also a bit impossible for someone not to spill water out of the shower.
staff was superfriendly.
apartment was great.liked the seperation between bedroom & salon.shower spacious.
proximity to u & public transport.
What could be improved: sofa that opened, is a little short - is great for children, but for my elder son who is grown up, it was less comfortable.
