Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about Numa Munich Stark? It’s one of those places that feels way more thoughtful than you’d expect from a four-star hotel. I mean, when I first walked into the lobby, it had this really clean, almost minimalist vibe that somehow managed to feel warm instead of sterile β which is honestly pretty rare these days.
The whole setup is clearly designed by people who actually travel themselves. Like, the rooms have these little touches that make you think “finally, someone gets it” β proper bedside lighting that doesn’t require you to get up to turn off, enough outlets in places that actually make sense, and blackout curtains that, well, actually black out the room. The beds are solid too, not too soft but definitely not one of those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you feeling like you got hit by a truck. And here’s something I really appreciated: the WiFi actually works consistently throughout the building, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places mess this up.
What I found interesting is how they’ve managed to hit that sweet spot between modern efficiency and genuine hospitality. Check-in was smooth β no standing around waiting while they figure out their computer system β and the staff seemed to know the neighborhood really well. When I asked about getting around Munich, they didn’t just hand me a tourist map; they actually gave me specific advice about which U-Bahn lines to avoid during rush hour and mentioned a couple of local spots that weren’t in any guidebook I’d seen. The location itself works really well if you want to feel like you’re staying somewhere with character but don’t want to deal with the chaos of being right in the center of everything. You can walk to the main attractions without too much trouble, but you’re also in an area where actual Munich residents live and work, which gives you a much better sense of what the city is actually like beyond the tourist bubble. Honestly, with an 8.6 rating, I was expecting it to be good, but it exceeded that in ways that are hard to quantify β it’s just one of those places where everything works the way it should, without any unpleasant surprises or those little annoyances that can derail a trip.
Apartments in Munich provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Bavarian markets and cook with regional Alpine specialties.

Guest Reviews
Ilai Gastronomie down the road offers the best masala dosa in town π
Staff were extremely helpful and polite when contacting via booking.vom message, they were very informative and helpful
What could be improved: A little far from the centre
Good size room, comfortable bed, nice amenities. Close to public transport to get into the main centre of Munich. Liked that there were easily accessible lockers for luggage and a communal area to use as well.
What could be improved: Whilst the online check-in worked fine, it is a little more confusing and we know others struggled with it. Note that you need to have the WhatsApp message with the codes to get into the building.
Check in is online and you just get a code for both entering hotel and your room.
Comfort of the check-in
Room appliances
Modern vibe
What could be improved: The bed mattress was over-used and too soft.
But for some people such soft mattresses might be still okay-ish.
Can't express enough how much i enjoyed my stay here! Hotel is modern, clean and you also get small treats in you room (free drinks and nibbles). R
oom and common lounge area have everything you need (all the kitchen appliances, even dishwasher along with dishwasher tablets). Hotel is 5 min walk away from u-bahn station which is perfect if you want to move around the city. Would recommend it 10/10!
What could be improved: The AC did not heat enough.
Nice extras: coffee machine in the room, chips; etc.
What could be improved: Breakfast location is not on premises.
check in is super easy, you get a code via text for the door and everything you'd need to know is explained in your room.
Everything was in good condition, it could be little bit warm in the winter, but by the way was great to stay here.
What could be improved: nothing , in winter needs to be little bit hoter in rooms.
