Overview
First Impressions
Walking into NH Collection München Bavaria, you immediately get that “this is exactly where I want to be” feeling. The lobby has this sleek, modern vibe without being cold or intimidating — honestly, it strikes that perfect balance between professional and welcoming. You can tell this is a four-star property that takes itself seriously, but the staff actually smile when they greet you (which, let’s be real, doesn’t always happen in Munich).
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about Arnulfstraße — you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, which means you can stumble off any train and be in your room before you’ve even figured out the local transport system. But what I really love is that you’re also walking distance to the old town without being stuck in the tourist chaos. The Maxvorstadt neighborhood has this great mix of locals grabbing coffee and visitors figuring out their next move. You know what’s brilliant? You can walk to Marienplatz in about fifteen minutes, but when you come back at night, you’re in a much quieter area where you can actually get some sleep.
The Room Experience
The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully designed” — everything feels intentional rather than just thrown together. The beds are properly comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and there’s enough space to actually unpack if you’re staying more than a night. I mean, the bathrooms are modern and well-lit, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong. The soundproofing is solid too, considering you’re so close to the train station — I was expecting noise issues but honestly slept better than I do at home.
Breakfast Worth Getting Up For
The breakfast setup here actually impressed me. They’ve got this extensive buffet that covers pretty much every dietary need you can think of — continental classics, vegetarian options, vegan choices, gluten-free stuff, even American-style items if you’re craving something familiar. What I appreciated most was the quality; the bread is clearly fresh, the coffee doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours, and they keep everything well-stocked even during busy periods. The restaurant space itself is bright and spacious, so you’re not fighting for a table or eating elbow-to-elbow with strangers.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel just works, especially if you’re traveling as a couple — there’s something about the combination of location, comfort, and service that hits the sweet spot. You’re close enough to everything that matters in Munich, but you’re staying somewhere that feels like a proper retreat at the end of the day. The staff seem to genuinely know the area and can point you toward good local spots rather than just the obvious tourist traps. Plus, there’s parking available if you’re driving, which in this part of Munich is honestly a small miracle. It’s one of those places where everything just feels right without any particular thing being over-the-top amazing — sometimes that’s exactly what you want.

Guest Reviews
Location is next to the central station, taxi and AirPort Express bus.
Hotel service was very good, room was clean and quiet!
What could be improved: Nothing!
The location is excellent. We caught the S train from the airport and came up from underground just outside the hotel. The tram is right outside and the starting point for tours to Dachua, Salzburg and Nueschwanstein is just round the corner. The main train station to other places is across the road as well.
Slippers and robes are in the second drawer. Discovered this as we were leaving.
What could be improved: We were initially placed in a room facing the station on the 2nd floor. We like to sleep with the windows open and couldn't as it was too noisy. They moved us the next day to the 8th floor and it was much better.
Elegant, thoughtful design, high quality materials.
Great shower. Very quiet.
What could be improved: Queen size bed moved with the slightest touch of which made it hard to sleep for both of us. Hard mattress but not uncomfortable.
The location, the reception staff, the breakfast.
What could be improved: The room size is not that big enough.
Lovely staff
Great location
Very clean
What could be improved: N/A
Conveniently located for the train and bus stations.
What could be improved: Neighborhood was not the greatest but OK for one night. Parking was also not the most convenient.
excellent location.
modern clean quiet room.
excellent breakfast
Great staff, location, rooms, and facility
What could be improved: Nothing :)
Location. Right next to the Munich central train station where there a lots of coffee shops to have a light meal to eat on arrival or wait for your train. Conveniently located. We only walked to Marienplatz from this hotel
What could be improved: Informing the property that we will be arriving early 10am at the hotel from 25 hour journey, was not given consideration for an early check-in. Instead was offered to pay for an early check-in for 59 euro. Despite of paying the early check-in fee, the room that was provided is a corner room on Level 1 which is the same corner where a trams makes their turn. You can hear the screeching noise and emergency services sirens.
the location is very convenient, directly at the Hauptbahnhof. it's very easy to walk to the central landmarks like Marienplatz or Viktualienmarkt. the room is large enough for two, the bathroom is nice and clean. they provide slippers ,ironing facilities upon request. very friendly stuff at the front desk. Alles bestens..
What could be improved: the only thing negative might be the pillows, none of three pillows were comfortable enough for us. if we' d asked for other pillows ,I'm sure they would've helped us with it
