Location-wise, you’re walking distance from pretty much everything that matters downtown. I could grab coffee and be back before my travel companions even woke up, and there are enough restaurant options within a few blocks that you won’t get bored. The parking situation is what you’d expect for a city center spot – there’s a garage attached but it’s not cheap. Still, being able to walk everywhere kind of makes up for it. What really sold me on this place was the service level – it feels like they’re trying to earn that 8.4 rating instead of just coasting on it. The housekeeping was thorough, the concierge actually knew the area well enough to give useful recommendations, and when I had a minor issue with the room key, they fixed it immediately without making me feel like I was inconveniencing them. It’s not the fanciest hotel you’ll ever stay at, but it gets the important things right, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re exploring a new city.
