The bathrooms actually have heated floors (discovered this on a chilly morning), and the beds are positioned so you wake up looking out at whatever natural setting they’ve preserved around the old mill structure. I stayed during what turned out to be peak season, and even with the place fully booked, it never felt crowded or rushed. The staff seemed to genuinely know the area too – not just the standard tourist recommendations, but like, where to find the best local bakery that opens early, or which walking trails won’t be packed with tour groups.

What really sold me on this place, though, was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living there for a few days. The Wi-Fi works everywhere (I’m talking even in the garden areas), check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and they’ve got this perfect balance where the service feels attentive without being hovering. The soundproofing between rooms is excellent – I could barely hear my neighbors despite the historic construction. And honestly? The breakfast setup impressed me more than it probably should have. They source a lot locally, and you can taste the difference, especially in the dairy and bread.
