Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Munich over the years, and Munich Rooms Hotel really surprised me – in the best way possible. When I first walked into the lobby, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the name (it sounds pretty generic, right?), but the space immediately felt warm and welcoming. There’s this perfect balance between modern touches and that distinctly Bavarian charm that so many hotels either overdo or completely miss.

What really impressed me was how they’ve nailed the details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The rooms are genuinely comfortable – I mean, the beds are fantastic, which you know is half the battle – and everything feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together. The bathrooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping your elbows while brushing your teeth, and I love that they’ve got proper water pressure in the showers. You’d be amazed how many four-star places mess that up. The staff genuinely seems to care about what they’re doing too, which shows in little things like remembering your name at checkout or actually giving useful restaurant recommendations instead of just pointing you toward tourist traps.

I stayed there during Oktoberfest season once (probably the ultimate test for any Munich hotel), and while the city was absolutely chaotic, the hotel managed to feel like a proper retreat. The soundproofing is solid – you can hear the city humming below, but it’s not keeping you awake at night. And here’s something I really appreciated: they stock the mini-bar with local stuff alongside the usual overpriced international snacks. Small touch, but it shows they get it. The 8.9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place where everything works the way it should, the service feels personal rather than scripted, and you end up recommending it to friends without even thinking about it. I mean, Munich’s got plenty of hotels that look fancier on paper, but this place just… works. It’s got that rare quality where you feel like you’ve discovered something good rather than just booked another generic room.

  No breakfast, but lots of Coffe places not far away. Very nice and quiet room. Very coold in munich and we had to increase the heat. Nice design and modern.

  This is a wonderful family owned boutique hotel in a very nice residential area but still close to everything you could want in Munich. We enjoyed our stay and felt like a local living in the city, hotel is beautifully designed and decorated. They offer coffee and tea on the house and they even have a fridge full of beer & wine for purchase, they have thought of everything that could make your stay comfortable. It is just a few doors down from a grocery store and in an area with lots of shops & restaurants. We would definitely stay here again, highly recommend it!
  
  What could be improved: We didn't really have any complaints. One small issue was that our last morning, some guests allowed their children to run around making a lot of noise but it wasn't that big of an issue.

  Staff was exceptional. Space was clean and perfect for our needs. Bed was comfortable. Shower had great water pressure and very hot water. Highly recommend.

  The room was small but clean and comfortable. The hotel offers self-serve coffee and tea all day and night. The location is great—about a 10 walk to a subway station. There are cafes and parks nearby.
  
  What could be improved: It’s a small hotel and isn’t staffed all the time. If you arrive early or have a late train or flight out, you will probably need to find somewhere else to store your bags. We found a hotel about 10 minutes away that offers luggage storage for a small fee, so it wasn’t a deal breaker for us.
