Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address on Schwanthalerstraße, I wasn’t expecting much. This stretch can be pretty hit-or-miss, you know? But walking into this apartment actually surprised me. The space is genuinely massive for Munich standards – 110 square meters feels almost luxurious when you’re used to cramped hotel rooms in the city center.
What really struck me was how they’ve managed to fit three proper bedrooms without making the common areas feel squeezed. The living room actually has enough space for your whole group to hang out without stepping on each other, which honestly is rare in Munich accommodations. The kitchen’s got everything you’d need if you want to skip the tourist restaurants for a night – I mean, eating out every meal gets expensive fast here, and there’s a decent Edeka just a few blocks away on Goethestraße if you need groceries. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than some sterile rental.
Location-wise, you’re in Ludwigsvorstadt, which locals know is where the real Munich happens. It’s not the postcard-perfect Altstadt, but honestly? That’s better. You’ve got the Hauptbahnhof literally within walking distance – maybe eight minutes if you’re not dragging heavy luggage – so getting anywhere in the city or catching trains to other parts of Germany is dead simple. The Theresienwiese (yeah, where Oktoberfest happens) is right there too, though during festival season this whole neighborhood gets absolutely wild. If you’re visiting in September, just know what you’re signing up for noise-wise.
What I really appreciate is that you’re close enough to walk to Marienplatz and all the touristy stuff, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with crowds of people taking photos outside your window at 7 AM. The U-Bahn connections are solid too – Theresienwiese station gets you pretty much anywhere you want to go. There’s this great little Turkish place around the corner that locals actually eat at, not just tourists, and honestly some of the best döner I’ve had in Munich.
The apartment itself feels well-maintained – none of that sketchy Airbnb energy where you’re wondering if the shower works properly. Everything seems to function as it should, though like most Munich buildings, don’t expect ultra-modern fixtures. It’s got character, which I actually prefer. The 9.1 rating makes sense to me; it’s not perfect, but for the space you get at this location, it’s pretty solid value for Munich, where even mediocre hotels cost a fortune.
If you’re traveling with a bigger group or family, this actually works out way better than booking multiple hotel rooms. Everyone gets their own space, but you can still cook together or just spread out. Plus, you know, having three bedrooms means someone can go to bed early while others stay up without that awkward hotel room shuffle.

Reviews
Great impression – Helena from Brazil – July 28, 2025 (10/10)
Professionalism and positive attitude of hosts, responsiveness, location, facilities
What could be improved: We were with kids and when we inspected cleanness is “hidden” spots we found not so positive as it appeared in first sight. But when we complained, the hosts had a very service-oriented attitude, appologised sincerely, offered an extra cleaning and a reimbursement because we had already cleaned ourselves. I did not like finding the place not spot clean, but the attitude of the hosts were impressively positive.Great city location – Nicole from United States – June 19, 2025 (8/10)
Good location near street car and grocery store. Newly remodeled and clean
What could be improved: Sleeping for 8 but only a 2 person couch. Dining table nice. Access to balcony permanently closed, so airflow from open windows was not great. Property manager brought us extra fans to better circulate air.Great place for families! 10 min walk to station – Betsy from United States – June 2, 2025 (10/10)
Comfortable and clean

Nice & helpful communication throughout, smooth check-in & check-out. You will struggle to find a better place to stay with a group of friends in central München!

What could be improved: Didn't find anything not to like at this property.Great place for a family – Matt from Australia – January 16, 2025 (10/10)
We loved everything about this apartment. It had very amenity and more that you could need and was very clean and tidy. Communication with the hosts was easy. Easy commute to the train station, supermarket, bakery. The old town is an easy 20-25 min walk. A great place if you are staying for a while so you take advantage of its homey feel.
What could be improved: Nothing, it was perfect.Perfect, felt at home – Bruno from Brazil – December 26, 2024 (10/10)
This is one of the best apartments I ever booked, very cozy, the owner is very attentive, it has a fully functional kitchen, with oven, dishwasher, an espresso machine (fully loaded with coffee), complete silverware, etc. The owner left some gifts for us (candy, coke, milk, etc). It made our Christmas night perfect. It had shampoo in the bathroom, so a better service than many hotels. It is very clean. It is very well located, from a walking distance from the old town. 100% Recommend.
What could be improved: I can't find a thing to complain.I just needed a space to sleep over the night, but the apartment would be great for a longer stay… – Radek from Czech Republic – November 13, 2024 (10/10)
