You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Munich Gem – the name honestly sounds a bit generic, and with a 6.9 rating, I figured it would be pretty middle-of-the-road. But here’s the thing about Munich accommodations – sometimes the ones that don’t oversell themselves actually deliver where it counts.

The two-bedroom setup is genuinely spacious, which is saying something in a city where most places feel like they’re charging premium prices for closet-sized rooms. The Alpine views they mention? Well, on clear days you can actually make out the mountain silhouettes in the distance, though I’d say it’s more of a peek than a panoramic vista. The tranquility part though – that’s spot on. The building sits on a quieter side street (I think it was near the Lehel district, though the exact address wasn’t super clear), and you’re not dealing with the constant tram noise you get closer to Marienplatz. I actually slept through the night without earplugs, which rarely happens when I’m staying in city centers.

What really won me over were the small details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The kitchen has proper coffee equipment – not just those sad little pod machines – and there’s enough counter space to actually prepare a decent breakfast. The heating works reliably too, which matters more than you’d think during those chilly Bavarian mornings. I mean, it’s not luxury by any stretch, and the decor feels a bit dated (think early 2000s IKEA), but everything functions well. The shower pressure was surprisingly good, and there’s decent storage space for longer stays. Honestly, the three-star rating feels about right – it’s clean, functional, and comfortable without any pretense of being fancy. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to the main tourist areas, but there’s a decent bakery practically next door and a small grocery store around the corner for essentials. If you’re looking for somewhere to actually live in Munich for a few days rather than just crash between sightseeing marathons, this place gets the job done without breaking the bank.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Munich at least two months ahead for major events like Oktoberfest, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near festival grounds.

  Spaciou..strategic location ..lots of halal food…accessible to many attractions near HBF Munich
  
  What could be improved: Unknown persons kept ringing the door bell(intercom)…maybe it should be disabled…difficulties in locking unlocking front door.Otherwise a SUPERB spacious place!

  What could be improved: trovato uno scarafaccio in bagno e capelli in uno dei letti. E' vicino alla stazione e quindi per entrare nel condominio c'erano persone poco "affidabili" . Consiglio di non andare da soli quindi sempre in gruppo. Non è una bella zona

  Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut.
  
  What could be improved: Die Ausstattung lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig, kein Spiegel in der Wohnung außer im Bad. Die Beleuchtung ist wie in einem Büro, keine Lampen in den drei Schlafräumen, die separat zu bedienen sind, nur Deckenlicht mit Schalter am Eingang. Im Wohnraum ebenfalls, einfach ungemütlich. Eine einfache Stehlampe könnte da helfen. Die Wasserversorgung in Dusche ist reines Glücksspiel…kommt genug und ist es warm…bei so vielen Personen indiskutabel. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung in keinem guten Zustand, Vorhänge sind zu klein für die Fenster und hängen z. T. abgerissen herum…kein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

  Локация супер. Все достопримечательности в шаговых доступностях. Ключи были в указанных местах, не было трудности найти. Парковка в цокольном этаже здании.
  
  What could be improved: Не было указана депозит 150€ при бронирование, но было возвращена через сутки после отьезда. Многие разведки от электричества не рабочом состояние, было использовано удлинители.
