Overview
First Impressions
The Munich Aparthotel sits tucked away in a quiet courtyard building on Schwanthalerstraße, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you’re not paying attention. It’s one of those unassuming places that doesn’t scream for attention from the street — which I actually found refreshing in a city where everything seems to compete for your notice. The three-star property has this understated charm that grows on you, especially once you realize how perfectly positioned you are in Munich.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about the Ludwigsvorstadt area — you’re genuinely in the thick of things without the tourist circus that comes with staying right at Marienplatz. The main train station is literally a few minutes’ walk, which means you can dump your bags and be exploring within an hour of arriving. You know what’s even better? Couples seem to get this location instinctively, rating it nearly 9 out of 10, and I can see why.
The neighborhood has this authentic Munich vibe where locals actually live and work. There are proper German bakeries around the corner, not just tourist traps, and you’ll find yourself walking to most major attractions rather than figuring out public transport every time.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment feels more like a small city flat than a hotel room, which makes longer stays actually comfortable. The kitchen setup isn’t fancy, but it’s functional enough that you can make proper coffee in the morning or heat up those amazing pretzels you bought from the market. I mean, after a few days of eating out every meal, having that option becomes pretty valuable.
The spaces are clean and practical — think modern German efficiency rather than flashy design. Everything works as it should, the Wi-Fi is solid, and honestly, that’s what matters when you’re using the place as a base for exploring the city.
Practical Perks
The private parking situation is actually a big deal if you’re driving in Munich — finding a spot in this part of the city can be a nightmare otherwise. It’s tucked away in the courtyard, so your car feels secure, and you don’t have to circle blocks looking for street parking or pay those ridiculous daily garage fees downtown.
The staff keeps things simple and straightforward. They’re not overly chatty, but they know the area well and can point you toward the good local spots that don’t show up in every guidebook.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. You’re getting a solid, well-located base in Munich without paying premium prices for unnecessary frills. The courtyard location means it’s surprisingly quiet for being so central — you can actually sleep with the windows open, which is rare in this part of the city.
If you’re the type who wants to experience Munich like you’re living there temporarily rather than just passing through, this aparthotel hits that sweet spot. It’s particularly great for couples who want to explore together but also appreciate having a proper space to retreat to at the end of long days wandering around the city.
The concierge service in Munich can arrange exclusive castle tours, secure reservations at traditional beer halls, and organize day trips to Neuschwanstein Castle and the Bavarian Alps.

Guest Reviews
The location and size of the flat
What could be improved: The bathrooms were not very practical and the owner that was not very helpful when I tried to contact him
The location is great, 10 minutes walk to the train station. It's also close to restaurants and various shops, only a few minutes walk. The place is clean, the rooms are cozy. Although it's quite small but it's not a big deal for us.
The location was great; we could walk to the train station in minutes. We were also able to walk into the main city instead of using public transport.
What could be improved: It was really small but doable for three people with one luggage bag each. There were three beds, two of them pushed together and one of them acting as a sofa as well. The washing machine was kind of janky, but we got it to work (we had to buy the detergent ourselves). Unfortunately, our clothes didn't fully dry in the room even after three and a half days.
It was quite.
What could be improved: Kitchen in a cupboard, smell in the bathroom.
The location was great (just a block from a tram stop, 6 stops from the city center) and there were enough beds for our group of seven. Plus there was an elevator, which was nice.
What could be improved: Small sinks and no hand towels in WCs, very poor water pressure in showers and uncomfortable mattresses. Also, the contact was unresponsive after we informed them we were there for parking (pre-arranged). After waiting for 30 minutes, we parked elsewhere.
.The location was good. simple cheak in
Parking included.
What could be improved: Not so clean and very crowded bathroom.
Nice apartment close to the city. Has a washing machine and a kitchen so good for longer stays!
What could be improved: Can be quite loud. You can hear a lot from downstairs but not a problem really
Well equipped and good location
What could be improved: Our flight landed in Munich around 7am and we were at the property by 10. Though Fadi didn’t pick up the call for an early checkin but the cleaning ladies found us and they were too kind. They let us spend a few hours in an apartment that was in the same building but on a different floor that was just checked-out till our apartment was ready. This apartment was spacious and beautiful. Had we known earlier that this was an option we would have definitely booked it. We later checked-in into our apartment which was too cramped for the 3 of us as we had a lot of luggage and the sofa bed was tiny as well. But, overall a very well equipped apartment with a washing machine, metro & tram connectivity, supermarkets (relatively more expensive than hypermarkets), close proximity to various attractions and a jet spray in the washroom. The building also has a lift.
location near train station
What could be improved: no comment
Best localisation and apartment full of services.
What could be improved: During the shower, the water goes outside the perimeter.
