The thing about staying in Untergiesing is that you’re getting the real Munich experience without the tourist markup. There’s this great Turkish bakery just two blocks down that locals line up at every morning (seriously, follow the smell of fresh bread), and you can catch the U3 line pretty easily to get into the heart of the city. The neighborhood gets genuinely quiet after 9 PM – none of that late-night party noise you’d get near Marienplatz. What really impressed me, though, was how the staff actually seemed to care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth, they remembered my name the next morning, and when I asked about good spots for dinner that weren’t tourist traps, the front desk guy gave me three solid recommendations that were all within walking distance.

  Wir blieben drei Nächte und fanden die ruhige Lage der Wohnung sehr angenehm, obwohl sie so zentral gelegen war. Alles war zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Wohnung war sauber, der Check-in verlief reibungslos und das Bett war für eine so kleine Wohnung überraschend bequem.
