You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Mozart Apartment München when I first booked it – I mean, three stars in Munich usually means pretty basic digs. But honestly, this place surprised me in the best way possible. The name had me picturing some kitschy classical music theme, but it’s actually quite understated and comfortable. The apartment-style setup is perfect if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights, and with an 8.8 rating, I figured other travelers were onto something good here.

What really won me over was how it feels more like staying in a local’s place than a typical hotel room. The kitchenette isn’t just for show – you can actually cook a proper meal, which is a godsend when you’re trying to avoid those €15 hotel breakfasts every morning. I spent a few evenings picking up ingredients from the nearby markets (there’s always a good one within walking distance in Munich) and making simple dinners while planning the next day’s adventures. The space has that lived-in feeling without being worn down, if that makes sense. Sure, it’s not luxury – the bathroom’s compact and you might hear your neighbors occasionally – but everything works well and feels clean.

The location turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises where you’re close enough to everything that matters but tucked away from the tourist chaos. I could walk to decent restaurants and local spots without dealing with crowds of people taking selfies every few meters. Munich’s public transport is so reliable that being slightly off the main drag actually worked in my favor – quieter streets, better sleep, and I still got anywhere in the city center within 15-20 minutes. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly formal hotel desk drama. It’s the kind of place where you settle in quickly and start feeling like you’ve got your own little base in the city. If you’re looking for room service and daily housekeeping, this probably isn’t your spot, but if you want independence and good value in Munich – which, let’s be honest, isn’t the cheapest city – Mozart Apartment really delivers on that front.

  The apartment was well appointed, very roomy for 2 people, and in a great location. The metro was a short distance away and the area is also well serviced by buses and trams.
  
  What could be improved: Little things – the bed is wedged against a bookcase and a wall so the only way to climb in and out is from the end of the bed.
  The TV and streaming service set up is very convoluted and, despite instructions, wasn’t easy to get going.

  The location is great as it's quieter than old town but only a short 20 min walk away (30 min direct walk to the hbf station), and is near some great traditional and craft beer venues along with good public transport links if desired.

  The apartment was in a very convenient location with all sites easily accessible by a short metro ride. The apartment was clean, modern and had good amenities provided – e.g. providing kitchen towel, a welcome bottle of wine etc. We didn't lack anything! Very quiet at night too.
  
  What could be improved: The pillows were lumpy and the mattress whilst serviceable wasn't as high quality as the rest of the apartment.

  Really beautiful apartment, everything we could possibly need was there. Very helpful suggestions about the area (shopping and eating). Area was quiet, very convenient subway access.
  
  What could be improved: When we were there the subway station was undergoing renovations so we had to figure out the replacement bus connection. Once we figured it out it was very convenient.

  It's a small apartment, but has a fully equipped kitchen and a really comfortable bedroom. Bed is big and soft. They have a tv and projector in the bed room. And there's a "Xbox" connect to the projector. The dinner table is huge and stylish.
  
  What could be improved: The glass door of shower space leaves a little space between it and floor. You need to stand near the wall to prevent water to flood when you showering. And there's no drain hole on the toilet floor which means if you are not careful, you will have to use toilet with a flooded floor. That's a bit annoying.

  great location next to a subway station, warm design and a “ready to use” kitchen !
  
  What could be improved: we got one key – used to open the building stairway door as well as the apartment door. we concluded that every person who lived in the building can use the stairway door key to open our apartment. there is no latch from the inside of the apartment, and that definitely felt unsafe!
