I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Luxury Omaruru-Design-Apartment Deluxe,” I thought it might be one of those places that tries too hard, you know? But this spot actually delivers on what it promises, and then some. Located right in the heart of Omaruru (which, if you haven’t been to this little gem in central Namibia, you’re missing out), this place manages to feel both sophisticated and genuinely welcoming at the same time.

The apartment itself is sort of a masterclass in how to do modern design without making guests feel like they’re living in a museum. Everything’s been thought through – and I mean everything. The kitchen actually has sharp knives and decent cookware, not the usual dull tourist stuff. There’s this gorgeous light that streams in through these massive windows in the morning, and honestly, I found myself just sitting there with coffee longer than I normally would. The bathroom’s one of those where you actually want to take a long shower instead of rushing through it. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night – Omaruru’s not exactly a bustling metropolis, but you’d be surprised how sound carries in these older buildings. This place somehow manages to feel like its own little world.

Here’s what really sets it apart: the attention to local character mixed with genuine luxury touches. The design incorporates these beautiful Namibian elements – think local stone and wood – but doesn’t beat you over the head with the “authentic Africa” thing that some places do. Parking’s easy (trust me, after driving those long stretches between towns, the last thing you want is to circle around looking for a spot), and the owners clearly know what international travelers need without losing that local charm. I stayed during the cooler months, which I’d definitely recommend – the place has good climate control, but Omaruru can get pretty intense in summer. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s one of those places where every little detail just works the way it should. If you’re exploring this part of Namibia and want somewhere that feels special without being pretentious, this is your spot.

  Exceptional. Spacious, modern, well equipped. The owner welcomed us, very easy and rapidly reachable. Location a bit away from the crowds of tourists is wonderful. The neighborhood is safe with every commodity around the corner. Would definitely recommend.

  The design and facilities of this place far exceeded my expectations. Very close to public transportation. Nice and quiet courtyard. Lots of nice restaurants and coffee places in the area.
  
  What could be improved: Had some issues with the heater / hot water but that was quickly fixed by the owner. Stairs in front of the house can be a bit slippery in winter.

  The apartment was modern, stylish, and furnishings were great. The kitchen was fully functioning with all of the necessary items to make meals. This place was my family's favorite apartment in our trip across Europe.
  
  What could be improved: As you can see from the photos and we knew beforehand, the bedroom walls are glass. Not a real issue but the bedrooms lack privacy. On-street parking was available but took awhile to find a space and figure out. About 1 1/2 blocks away, I paid the daily max of 11 Euros to park for 24 hours.

  the apartment will make you feel like you are in a movie. Luxurious and spacious and the team there was friendly and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: we suffered daily to get parking as they don’t provide it and the area outside is always full. 20 minutes walk to center so we parked there and kept walking every day.
  The apartment is great but if you are a big family then maybe not practical so much as rooms are glass rooms so you’d be worried to be heard in the next room, otherwise great apartment.

  Tanja was an excellent host welcoming us and ensuring a smooth checkin. Location was great, close enough to the city centre but very quiet. The apartment was very bright and comfortable with everything we needed. The courtyard was a fantastic bonus to be able to sit outside and relax on warmer afternoons. We loved our time staying here and will return again.
