Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to the Louis Hotel – I mean, you see so many places claiming five stars these days. But walking through those doors, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually put thought into every detail. The lobby has this warm, sophisticated vibe without feeling stuffy, you know? It’s the kind of place where you can sit in one of their leather chairs with a coffee and actually feel comfortable, not like you’re intruding on some museum exhibit.
What really got me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their stuff. Check-in was smooth – no standing around while they fumble with computers – and the concierge actually gave me directions to a local spot I’d never heard of instead of just pointing me toward the usual tourist traps. The rooms are spacious, which is becoming rare these days, and the beds are honestly some of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. There’s this attention to lighting that makes everything feel cozy rather than harsh, and the bathrooms… well, let’s just say they didn’t skimp on the marble or the water pressure. You can tell they’ve thought about what travelers actually need – plenty of outlets, a desk that’s actually usable if you need to work, and blackout curtains that really work.
The 8.6 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top, but everything just works the way it should. I noticed the housekeeping staff pays attention to little things – towels were always perfectly folded, and they somehow managed to clean around my scattered belongings without making it feel invasive. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevators can get a bit busy during peak hours, but honestly, that’s pretty typical for popular hotels. What impressed me most was how quiet the rooms stay despite being in what feels like a bustling area – you get the energy of being somewhere interesting without the noise keeping you up at night. It’s the sort of place where you end up extending your stay if you can, because once you’re settled in, leaving feels like a mistake.
Hotels near me in Munich offer convenient access to the old town, where guests can easily walk to Neues Rathaus, Viktualienmarkt, and traditional beer gardens.

What could be improved: The breakfast is not qualified for the room rate!Stephen from United Arab Emirates – 24 April 2025 (9/10)
Fantastic location, couldn’t get better.
Very comfortable and clean rooms.
Breakfast items were great quality.
Complimentary sodas and snacks were a nice touch.
What could be improved: Slightly confusing access to hotel, restricted lift at 9pm, lift key card security was clear.
Breakfast service wasn’t as smooth as it could have been and quite pricey (was good though).Lara from Switzerland – 14 April 2025 (9/10)

The location is prime, the best as anyone can ask. The room was very nice and clean. The breakfast was tasty. There is a nice lobby where you can rest and drink a beer.

All was amazing

Hotel was great
Staff so friendlyGeorg from United Kingdom – 17 February 2025 (9/10)
The size of our suite; but it came at a price
What could be improved: The breakfast at 39 Euro is too expensive; the traditional Bavarian white sausage breakfast (Weißwurst-Frühstück) is not worth it. The sausages are medium quality and half the size of a normal one.
I know it because I am Bavarian and lived in Munich for a long time.Stephen from Malta – 1 February 2025 (9/10)
Location and everything else
What could be improved: The lighting in the room and bathroom is too warm and low. The positioning of the magnifying mirror in the bathroom is too high for an average tall personGloria from United States – 26 January 2025 (9/10)
Location, very comfortable beds, large suite, quiet, and clean premises.
What could be improved: Was not informed by staff that by 9:00 pm local time, main entrance gets closed. Had difficulty to enter after a night out. Front/back of property needs proper signaling.
