Look, I’ll be straight with you – this place isn’t fancy, but if you’re coming for Oktoberfest, you’ve basically hit the jackpot with location. I mean, we’re talking about rolling out of bed and being at the festival grounds in what, maybe a three-minute walk? I actually timed it because I’m weird like that, and it was genuinely under five minutes even when I was moving slow after a long day of celebrating.

The loft itself is pretty much what you’d expect from a 3-star spot – clean, functional, nothing that’ll blow your mind but everything works. What really surprised me was how quiet it manages to be despite being so close to all the action. You know what I think it is? The way the building’s positioned, you’re close enough to walk to everything but just tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of people stumbling past your window at 2 AM. Though honestly, during Oktoberfest proper, nowhere in Munich is exactly silent – but this felt manageable. The windows are decent quality too, which helps more than you’d think.

Here’s the thing that sold me on the place: you can walk to Marienplatz in about ten minutes, which means you’re not just stuck in festival mode the whole time. I actually spent a morning just wandering through the old town, grabbed coffee at this little place on Petersplatz (the locals call it “Alter Peter”), and was back at the loft by noon to freshen up before heading to the beer gardens. That flexibility is huge, especially if you’re staying for more than just a weekend. The neighborhood has that authentic Munich feel too – you’ll hear actual German conversations on the street, not just tourist chatter, which I always appreciate. Parking’s going to be a nightmare during festival season (fair warning), but honestly, you don’t need a car for anything. The public transport connections are solid, and most of what you want is walkable anyway.

The 8.3 rating feels about right – it’s not going to be the highlight of your trip, but it absolutely won’t disappoint either. It’s the kind of place where you think “yeah, this works perfectly” rather than “wow, incredible,” and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Especially when you’re paying Munich prices during Oktoberfest season – you want your money going toward the experience, not just a fancy hotel room you’ll barely see.

  Location was close to trains and trams with a 5 min walk great restaurants in the area very quite at night and was on the ground floor

  What could be improved: VERY NOISY, owner has a bar next door and has tables in front of the loft windows. NO VENTILATION, stuffy and hot in summer, bedrooms and bathroom do not have windows, the only windows are in the living room and are small, there is no AC or fans. NO PRIVACY, entrance is a double clear glass door, you have to keep the curtains closed at all time, the entire front is glass as if you are in a store.

  The property was amazing in a good location close to public transport. It was clean, very spacious and very well equipped with everything you could need. Mike was a great host and easy to get hold of on the phone and very helpful

  What could be improved: There were huge patches of mold on the wall in the living room and in the bathroom. The apartment wasn't cleaned properly, the dishwasher was full with dirty dishes. We did not get the check in information on time

  Die Unterkunft ist topp, auch die Anbindungen der Tram etc
  Es war sehr ruhig und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten drumherum gab es reichlich
  
  What could be improved: Es gibt nichts negatives…aber es fehlen im Bad Haken für Handtücher und Ablageflächen, auch eine Garderobenleiste oder -ständer in der Wohnung wäre super

  Il loft è in una buona posizione, con la fermata del tram per le principali piazze e per la stazione a pochi metri. è dotato di tutti i comfort (macchinetta del caffè, lavastoviglie, phone, televisione, wifi, ecc.)
