Hotel Description
You know what really caught me off guard about this limehome property on Fritz-Erler Straße? It’s actually way more polished than I expected from an aparthotel chain. I mean, when I first heard “limehome,” I was honestly picturing something pretty basic – but this place has this clean, almost Scandinavian vibe that feels genuinely upscale without being stuffy about it.
The whole setup is perfect if you’re the type who gets a bit claustrophobic in traditional hotels (guilty as charged). Each unit feels like a proper little apartment – there’s a kitchenette that’s actually functional, not just decorative, and the living space doesn’t make you feel like you’re camping in a bedroom. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night; Fritz-Erler isn’t one of those main drags where you’re dealing with constant traffic, so you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open. The check-in process is completely digital, which sounds impersonal but honestly works better than hovering around a front desk – especially when you’re arriving late after a long travel day.
Location-wise, you’re in a pretty solid spot that feels authentically Munich without being touristy. There’s this great bakery about two blocks down that locals actually go to (not just hotel guests), and you can walk to Theresienwiese in maybe fifteen minutes if you’re into that scene. The U-Bahn connections are decent too – Poccistraße station isn’t far, though you’ll want to factor in a short walk. Honestly, the whole Ludwigsvorstadt area has this nice residential feel during the day, then comes alive in the evenings without getting too rowdy. I stayed during shoulder season and parking wasn’t a nightmare, but I’d imagine summer might be trickier. The building itself has that renovated-industrial thing going on – you can tell they put actual thought into the design instead of just slapping some generic furniture together. My only real complaint? The shower pressure could be better, and the coffee setup is pretty minimal if you’re serious about your morning routine. But for the price point and that 8.3 rating, it honestly delivers on what it promises – a proper base in Munich that doesn’t feel like you’re just passing through.
Apartments in Munich provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Bavarian markets and cook with regional Alpine specialties.

Conveniently located not far from the train station (30 min ride to city) and a supermarket. Both easy to walk to. Staff contact via WhatsApp which was fine also. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean and big enough for a few nights stay. Would stay here again.
What could be improved: Nothing.Johana from Czech Republic – 11 May 2025 (8/10)
Very easy checkin, no keys. Good locality – green but also close to markets and restaurants. Parking found on the street for free. Comfy bed, small bed for baby, very nice and clean shower. Bright room. Elevator in the house. Coffee and tea included.
What could be improved: For longer stays you might miss dishwasher, but for short stay is all ok with the equipment there.Dzyunik from Armenia – 25 April 2025 (8/10)
Excellent location close to subway and shopping center, very supportive staff, clean rooms with everything we needed for short stay.
What could be improved: One of the rooms didn’t have a proper door to the toilet, the other had decorated window to the room, not very comfortable if you’re not staying alone in the room.Catherine from United Kingdom – 18 April 2025 (9/10)
Well appointed, well equipped and very clean.

Most of the time you can easily find free parking places on the street. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Bed is really comfortable. PEP shopping center nearby.
What could be improved: The cleaning staff was very loud everyday. The room is not dirty, but it could be even a bit cleaner.Christina from Australia – 24 January 2025 (8/10)

Easy parking on the street in front of the property.
What could be improved: The sofa bed was not comfortable at all! We woke up with body aches.

The Limehome Munich is a self-check in hotel with no staff on the property. The company appears to have occupied a small portion of a large residential property that is multi-level with 100's of rooms. They do provide 24/7 live competent support over the phone if you need assistance. I did call the support staff to assist in entering the property. I booked two separate rooms. They required entering the building at two separate locations, within approximately 60ft/20M of each other. This which was described in the emails with the access codes to the building and the rooms. I do commend the phone support staff for their patience while assisting our entry into the property.
Once in the rooms, they were clean and neat. They had well apportioned kitchenettes with a sink, 2 burner stove, refrigerator, cups, bowls, glasses and silverware, a toaster, water kettle, and a Nespresso machine with coffee pods and an assortment of teas. The rooms were exceptionally quiet during our stay, day and night. The rooms did have radiant heaters with individual thermostats on them. We did not need to use the room heaters at all. The was no central air conditioning vents in the rooms, nor was there an air conditioning thermostat. We were able to tilt the large windows to let in fresh air and provide a cool ventilation. This might be a problem during heat waves, but it was a non-issue for our stay.
A laundry room was available for 4.50 euros to wash (auto dispensing soap included) and 4,50 euros to dry. You'll need to sign up on the wewash website or down load the wewash app. The machines worked well.
We attended Oktoberfest during our stay and used the U Bahn (subway) to get to and from the event. There was a 10 minute walk to the U Bahn near the Limehome and about a 5 minute walk to the Oktoberfest grounds using the U5 Line. A day pass U Bahn ticket was approximately 9 euros.
What could be improved: I would suggest adding a Map showing the two separate entrances in the email with the access codes. There was a map on the front of the building, showing the entrances but was poorly lit if you are arriving at night. One entrance faces the street and the other is in a covered breezeway. Our shower was a slow to drain, but it did drain shortly after showering.
