The whole setup feels refreshingly no-nonsense. You know how some 3-star places try way too hard to feel fancy and just end up feeling cheap? This isn’t that. Instead, they’ve gone for this clean, minimalist vibe that actually works – think IKEA but with better lighting and none of that maze-like frustration. The rooms have proper kitchenettes (not just a sad mini-fridge and kettle situation), which is honestly a game-changer if you’re staying more than a couple nights. I mean, München isn’t exactly cheap when it comes to eating out, so being able to grab some groceries from Rewe and actually cook something decent… well, your wallet will thank you.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve nailed the practical stuff that other places somehow mess up. The Wi-Fi actually works – like, properly works, not that “technically connected but good luck streaming anything” nonsense. Check-in is mostly digital, which sounds impersonal but is actually pretty smooth once you get the hang of it. Plus, you’re not stuck waiting around for someone to show up with keys if your flight gets delayed. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me because it’s one of those places that just… works. Nothing’s going to blow your mind, but nothing’s going to frustrate you either. The beds are comfortable enough (definitely better than what I expected from the photos), and the soundproofing is decent – important in a city where you never know if you’ll end up near some late-night Bavarian revelry.

The location really depends on which limehome property you end up at since they’ve got several around the city, but the brand seems pretty good at picking spots that aren’t right in the tourist chaos but still have solid public transport connections. You’ll probably end up somewhere that feels more like a actual München neighborhood, which I personally prefer to being stuck near Marienplatz with all the crowds and inflated prices. The whole experience feels designed for people who actually want to spend time in Munich rather than just Instagram their way through it – and honestly, that’s exactly what I was looking for.

  booking response was quick, everything automatic to access property and checkout, early check-in was available luckily, kitchen has sufficient items to make our food, parking free nearby, worth to stay again
  
  What could be improved: doors are locked with access code but without any physical lock even from inside. cleaning employee opened the door while we were inside, which is not good. it's very basic to knock the door before accessing private rooms – physical lock from inside is needed to feel safe

  Extremely comfortable and convenient. Self catering lives on and that's good to see in hospitality these days. The automation of the system is very smooth as well.
  
  What could be improved: A bit out of the way but close enough to the underground U3 service that will take you to the centre of Munich. Some faults with the room like broken switches but nothing major.

  The neighbourhood was so quiet in the evenings and mornings. Just wonderful. Access to the building and our room was very easy through the step by step sent by email. We had a room on the ground floor. The room was very clean with all the necessary amenities for our stay. There's a family owned ice cream vendor not far away called Engert Eis. To check out we had to simply leave the room and click on the link in the email. Will definitely keep this hotel in mind for our next trip 🙂

  The suite was very clean. Everything i needed was available. The room temperature was perfect.

  Really like a home, has everything you need. I wish I could've stayed longer to be honest.
  
  What could be improved: How in the bathroom you couldn't close the shower, it was impossible to not wet the floor, but it's half so bad.

  I was a bit skeptical since the hotel was quite far from the city center, but it was all okay once we went inside. The room was very nice, larger than expected and very clean. We traveled by car and found out that there was a P+R very nearby the hotel. The metro carried us to the city center, perfect!
