Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Leonardo Hotel Munich City Olympiapark, you immediately get that “this is exactly what I needed” feeling. It’s one of those four-star places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies, but instead focuses on getting the basics absolutely right. The staff actually seems happy to see you — which, honestly, isn’t always a given in Munich. I mean, the whole vibe is professional but relaxed, like they understand you’re probably here for business or exploring the city, not lounging around the hotel all day.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about the Neuhausen-Nymphenburg area — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the tourist chaos around Marienplatz to actually get some peace. The Olympiapark is literally a short walk away, which is perfect if you want to jog or just escape the city buzz for a bit. You know what’s really convenient? The U-Bahn connections from here are solid, so getting to the old town or the main train station takes maybe 15-20 minutes. Couples seem to particularly appreciate this spot — apparently they rate the location 8.7 out of 10, and I can see why.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run four-star hotel — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without being overly fancy. The beds are actually good (you’d be surprised how many hotels mess this up), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I appreciated most was the attention to practical details — decent lighting for working, enough outlets where you need them, and a bathroom that’s modern but not trying to be a spa. The soundproofing is pretty solid too, which matters when you’re on a busy Munich street.
Breakfast & Practical Perks
The breakfast buffet here is honestly one of the better ones I’ve had in Munich — and that’s saying something in a city that takes its morning meal seriously. They’ve got all the German classics you’d want, plus enough international options to keep everyone happy. What really sets this place apart though is the parking situation — they actually have private parking on-site, which is basically gold in Munich. Trust me, if you’re driving here, you’ll appreciate not having to circle blocks looking for a spot or decode complicated street parking signs.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place that’s going to wow you with over-the-top amenities or Instagram-worthy design. But sometimes that’s exactly what you want — a hotel that just works really well. The location gives you easy access to both the Olympiapark and central Munich, the staff knows what they’re doing, and everything from the rooms to the breakfast feels thoughtfully put together. With an 8.1 rating, it’s clear that other guests appreciate this no-nonsense approach to hospitality. It’s the kind of place you’d book again without hesitation, which honestly might be the best compliment you can give a hotel.

Guest Reviews
Good breakfast and good location, close to Olympiapark. The center of the city is just a short tram ride away. Our room on the back of the hotel was very quiet.
What could be improved: We had a superior triple room. There were two single beds ands a couch that folded out to become a bed. Thew choice of a double bed would be nice. The sofa bed was narrow. The room could have been cheaper.
Room, location and breakfast
The bartender was 10/10 !
Super nice hotel with super friendly stuff!!!
To be honest, it was a nice surprise this hotel: comfy bed and small details like free coffee or bottle of water in our room.
The hotel is not in the city center, but very well communicated with the rest of the city by tram, so no complaints at all! Totally recommended it!
What could be improved: Nothing, everything was as expected
Good quality for everything, high CP value.
What could be improved: Compare with room size, the Bathroom is too small, except that, everything is perfect.
Very convenient and well located. Staff is awesome
Breakfast was really good, location was fine for what I wanted, but is a bit of a walk down in to the city centre. Room itself was very nice.
Everything was perfect
What could be improved: The price was too high for one person (65€/night)
I picked this hotel for its location near the SAP Garden, which was less than a 20 minute walk.
What could be improved: No complaints
Great breakfast, spacious and comfortable rooms
What could be improved: The parking is a nightmare narrow and with ramps to fit more cars. I would never get my car nor me into such an stressful parking space.
