Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Leonardo Hotel Munich Arabellapark, you immediately notice how the lobby strikes that perfect balance between modern and welcoming. It’s not trying too hard to impress — just clean lines, comfortable seating, and staff who actually seem happy to see you. The whole place has this four-star polish without feeling stuffy, which honestly sets the tone for everything else about your stay. The design philosophy emphasizes accessibility and comfort for all guests, making it an ideal choice for both business travelers and leisure visitors.
The Bogenhausen Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re in Bogenhausen, which means you get that authentic Munich residential feel without being stuck in the tourist chaos downtown. The English Garden is literally a short walk away, and I mean the good part where locals actually hang out. You’ve got the Isar River nearby for those morning jogs, and the U-Bahn connection gets you to Marienplatz in about 15 minutes when you want the full city experience. It’s actually brilliant positioning if you ask me. The neighborhood offers excellent access to cultural attractions, shopping districts, and traditional Bavarian restaurants that showcase the region’s culinary heritage.
Room Comfort
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a solid four-star — nothing groundbreaking, but everything worked perfectly. The bed was genuinely comfortable (not just hotel marketing comfortable), and the bathroom had that rainfall shower that actually delivers decent pressure. What surprised me was how quiet it was at night, considering you’re still in a major city. The air conditioning works properly too, which — trust me — matters during Munich’s surprisingly warm summers. Modern amenities include flat-screen televisions, high-speed internet connectivity, and thoughtfully designed workspaces for those who need to stay productive during their visit.
Dining and Amenities
The restaurant serves up decent international fare, though honestly, with Bogenhausen’s dining scene right outside, you might want to explore a bit. Breakfast was solid — fresh bread, good coffee, and enough variety to keep you happy for a week-long stay. There’s a fitness center that’s small but functional, and the spa area is perfect for unwinding after a day of walking around the city. Parking is available on-site, which is actually a bigger deal than you might think in this part of Munich. Additional facilities include a business center, conference rooms, and concierge services to assist with local recommendations and reservations.
Why Guests Love It
You know what really makes this place work? It’s that sweet spot where couples can have a romantic base without paying downtown prices, but families aren’t out of place either. The recent guests have been rating the location highly, and I get why — you feel like you’re staying in a real neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. The staff genuinely knows the area and can point you toward those local spots that make a trip memorable. It’s not the flashiest hotel you’ll ever stay in, but it’s the kind of place where everything just works smoothly, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or an extended business trip, this hotel delivers reliable comfort and genuine hospitality.

Guest Reviews
Friendly staff, large and modern room.
The room and beds were big, beddings were very comfortable and clean. The hotel staffs are very accommodating and friendly. My stay was totally amazing.
What could be improved: None.
Comfortable bed, everything needed for the stay is there, windows were able to be cracked but not fully opened due to safety reasons. Breakfast was good and receptionists were very helpful and polite.
What could be improved: Drunken guests woke us up at 4 am but I don't think it's something the hotel could do.
What could be improved: Closed restaurant at Sunday.
This is my 6th time in this hotel and I like the staff, location...etc
What could be improved: nothing
Clean rooms, good breakfast, staff speaks english fluently. Got free tea and coffee. Wifi connection was good. Honestly had no problem with the accomodation.
What could be improved: Far away from the center or a metro. You can take a bus from the hotel to a tram stop that can take you to the center or you can walk about 10 minutes to a metro station. The whole trip to the historical center takes about 30 minutes.
The staff was wonderful.
Unfortunately due to a big conference in town, the rates were really high.
À part the few negative points the rest is very good.
What could be improved: No body lotion available, not even at réception.
Housekeeping knocking the door too early
Shower glass protection needs to be larger, does not protect and the whole bathroom becomes wet when we sower!
I liked the location, the comfortable bed and pillow and the breakfast.
The bed is great
What could be improved: The room was very Small
