Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about the Leonardo Hotel München City Center – it’s one of those places that actually delivers on being right in the thick of things without making you feel like you’re sleeping in a tourist trap. When I first walked in, honestly, the lobby had this sleek, almost minimalist vibe that immediately told me they weren’t trying too hard to be something they’re not. It’s a solid four-star that knows exactly what it is.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between being central and being livable. I mean, you’re genuinely in the city center here – not some marketing interpretation of “city center” that’s actually twenty minutes from anything interesting. You can walk to the main shopping areas, grab a proper Bavarian breakfast at one of those corner bakeries that locals actually use (not just the touristy ones), and you know what? The noise level isn’t insane despite being so central. Sure, you’ll hear some city sounds, but nothing that kept me up at night – though if you’re really sensitive to noise, maybe ask for a room facing away from the busier streets.
The rooms themselves are… well, they’re what you’d expect from a decent business hotel, but with a few nice touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough space to actually unpack without feeling like you’re living in a shoebox. The bathrooms are modern, good water pressure – honestly, after a day of walking around Munich’s cobblestone streets, that shower hit different. What I really appreciated was the little things: decent lighting for actually reading, outlets where you need them, and Wi-Fi that doesn’t make you want to throw your laptop out the window. The 7.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it consistently does what it promises without any nasty surprises. Check-in was smooth, staff spoke great English (and obviously German), and they seemed to actually know the neighborhood when I asked about nearby restaurants. If you’re looking for something flashy or Instagram-worthy, this might not be your spot, but if you want a reliable base in Munich that won’t eat your entire travel budget while keeping you close to everything that matters? Yeah, this works.
Munich’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with Alpine charm, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this traditionally German city.

The location of this hotel is outstanding. The hotel is less than 100m from centel station and only 10 minutes walk from the heart of Munic. Trams, trains and buses go past so frquently there isn't a problem if you miss a connection, another comes along a few minutes later. Despite frequent traffic and extensive building occurring close by there is no outside noise into the rooms. The staff were particularly helpful.
What could be improved: Carpets in the hallways need cleaning and the rooms are a little small, particularly for people travelling for long periods of time. We are away for 8 weeks and we struggled to accommodate all of our luggage in the room. The A/C wasn't particularly effective.John from United Kingdom – 11 April 2025 (9/10)
Good, comfortable hotel close to main train station. Walking distance to old town. Reception staff excellent.

Nice and clean
What could be improved: People talking outside on the street, so loudly, couldn't sleep properly 😞😞😞Uģis from Latvia – 14 March 2025 (8/10)
Good hotel near the station. All amenities for 1-2 nights when going somewhere from Munich by train or returning. We had a quiet room because the windows were facing the backyard. Breakfast was delicious. Overall, for the price offered, it's a really good hotel, I initially thought that the quality would be lower near the station.
What could be improved: You have to take into account the proximity of the station, and of course there is not the most lively crowd there. Therefore, there are no cozy, comfortable pubs nearby. You have to go to the old town.Jouko from Finland – 16 February 2025 (9/10)
Super central location, a stone's throw from main station. Also accessible by car, large tiefgarage directly adjacent. Clean, comfy rooms. Good breakfast in a peaceful atmosphere.
What could be improved: Poor noise isolation, located by a lively street. Mattresses have seen their better days.Simone from Italy – 16 February 2025 (9/10)
Excellent room and bathroom, cute blonde girl receptionist and night auditor very kinds and great location.
What could be improved: Noisy street in the night but this is not their fault.Chris from United Kingdom – 10 February 2025 (8/10)

This is very near the train station. Just a short walk across. We arrived very early via train but were able to check in straight away. Thank you! Some hotels will stick to check in time even if they have ready room. There is a lift.
The room was of adequate size. Not big but has all the comforts a traveler needs. There was no heating but with good comforters it was warm enough. There was a fridge and espresso machine. The tv had European and English channels. The room and bathroom were clean.
We did not take the breakfast but enjoyed the room.
What could be improved: Nothing much.
