Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Le Méridien Munich feels like stepping into that perfect blend of Bavarian sophistication and international flair that you don’t find everywhere. The lobby has this understated luxury vibe — you know, the kind where everything looks effortlessly elegant without trying too hard. I mean, this is a five-star property, but it doesn’t hit you over the head with it. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which honestly surprised me given how busy this place gets.
Prime Location in the Heart of the City
The location on Bayerstrasse is absolutely spot-on — you’re literally in the thick of things in Munich without being stuck in tourist chaos. Hauptbahnhof is just a few minutes’ walk, which makes getting around ridiculously easy, and you can reach Marienplatz in about ten minutes on foot. What I really appreciated was how couples seem to gravitate here (they rate the location 8.6, and I can see why) — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll to the old town for dinner, then duck back to your luxury base when the crowds get overwhelming.
The Room Experience
My room had that sleek, contemporary design that Le Méridien does so well — clean lines, quality materials, and those little touches that make you feel pampered. The beds are seriously comfortable, and the soundproofing is excellent considering you’re right in the city center. The bathrooms are spacious with walk-in showers that actually have proper water pressure. You’ll find all the luxury amenities you’d expect, but what struck me was how functional everything felt — like they designed it for people who actually travel, not just for Instagram photos.
Dining and Daily Rhythms
Breakfast here is worth getting up for — they do both American and buffet styles, and the quality is consistently good. The restaurant serves solid international cuisine, though honestly, with Munich’s incredible food scene right outside your door, you might find yourself exploring more than staying in. What’s interesting is how many repeat guests this place has — more than most hotels I’ve stayed at — and after a few days, you start to understand why. There’s something about the rhythm of the place that just works.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel gets the balance right between luxury service and genuine hospitality. The location score of 8.6 isn’t just a number — it reflects how perfectly positioned you are to experience Munich authentically while having a sophisticated retreat to return to. Whether you’re here for business, romance, or just exploring the city, Le Méridien Munich delivers that rare combination of elegance and practicality that keeps people coming back. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere special without the pretense that sometimes comes with luxury properties.

Guest Reviews
Next to the central station and NAT From the reception was really helpful.
Large bed, great location, good breakfast.
What could be improved: Personnel is a bit loud in the morning, and some are not helpful (in the kitchen area)
Great facilities, staff was really accommodating. The room was huge and the quality was way above average.
What could be improved: The breakfast felt hard to navigate, but once you get the gist, it's all smooth sailing.
Despite a few problems, the accommodations is very comfortable, the staff is friendly and available for every request and it is located few steps from the Munich Central Station and all metro lines
What could be improved: A couple of main problems lowered the quality of stay:
1) The pool was too cold, impossible to utilise (it was May, not January!)
2) The sofa bed of our room was slightly damaged
In addition, we considered crazy some internal prices for additional services (e.g., breakfast at 42€ per person, small plastic water at 4€, etc.)
Location, friendly reception staff
What could be improved: Some staff ( restaurant) were not good at customer facing positions - breakfast egg male cook on first two days
The location and ease of access
What could be improved: The lack of variety in food
Really good large size room 28sqm with a king size 2m wide bed. Pillows/mattress (firm) great quality. Had a good time in sauna which is a great bonus. Breakfast really good selection for anyone. Staff helpful. Check out at 12 is also convenient. Parking for 24 hours is 35€ right under the hotel. Its public parking with plenty of space for a large SUV. Impossible to find parking on the street as it’s always busy. I guess we all need to adapt to pay such a large sum in cities where parking space is not available. anyway happy to stay next time. Paid €189 for room with breakfast.
What could be improved: Swimming pool cold
location !
clean!
Staff friendly
Located directly opposite from Munich main train station (but no noise issues). Clean and comfortable room.
What could be improved: Nothing
