Overview
You know what struck me first about the Koenigshof? The doormen actually remember your name after day one – and I mean, not in that forced hospitality way, but genuinely. This place sits right in Munich’s heart, literally steps from the Frauenkirche, and honestly, you can’t get more central without sleeping in Marienplatz itself.
The lobby feels like stepping into some Bavarian industrialist’s private residence from the 1920s – all dark wood paneling and crystal chandeliers, but somehow it doesn’t feel stuffy or museum-like. I actually spent way too much time just people-watching from their bar area, which has these massive windows facing the pedestrian zone. The rooms are what you’d expect from a Luxury Collection property, though I’ll say the bathrooms are particularly impressive – heated floors that you’ll appreciate during Munich’s chilly months, and those rainfall showers that actually have decent pressure (you know how hit-or-miss hotel showers can be). The beds are ridiculously comfortable, and thank god because you can hear the occasional late-night reveler from the streets below, though it’s more charming than annoying – just the sound of Munich being Munich.
What really sets this place apart is how the staff seems to know the city inside and out. The concierge team directed me to this tiny Augustiner beer hall that I never would’ve found otherwise, tucked away in some residential street that’s not in any guidebook. They also sorted out dinner reservations at places that were supposedly booked solid – I mean, I don’t know what kind of magic they work, but it’s effective. The hotel restaurant is solid too, though honestly, with all the incredible food options within a five-minute walk, I barely ate there except for breakfast (which was actually excellent – proper Bavarian spreads alongside the usual international fare). Parking is valet only, which runs about 35 euros a day, but given the location, you really don’t need a car anyway. The 8.8 rating feels about right – it’s definitely a luxury experience, though at peak times like Oktoberfest or during the Christmas markets, the whole area gets absolutely mental with crowds, and even being inside this elegant bubble doesn’t completely shield you from the chaos. But then again, if you’re in Munich during those times, you probably want to be in the thick of it anyway.
The luxury concierge service in Munich offers personalized access to private brewery tours, Michelin-starred dining, and VIP cultural experiences in this Bavarian capital.

Guest Reviews
Everything about the hotel was fabulous. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was very modern and comfortable with great amenities. We loved the included mini bar items! Also the location was perfect for venturing out into the city.
Everything was perfect starting from location very nice and helpful stuff I would like to thank Mr.Fadi he was explaining for me everything in the hotel and help me when I explain for him my issue. a little bit pricey but it’s worth. definitely I’m gonna stay in my next visit to Munich. if I can send thanks letter for Mr. Fadi, I really would like to.
What could be improved: Always was perfect
we felt that the staff was actually pleased to welcome us. not because the manager tells them to show it (he/she probably does) but because they are proud of their hotel and wanted us to feel that too. thank you!
Fantastic location, new, comfortable, neat, modern interior.
Friendly staff
Truly 5 stars experience.
Exceptional reception with truly outstanding, well trained staff. Exciting hotel architecture with great views and quiet rooms in the center of Munich. The deluxe room was well designed, just large enough, with a free mini bar cabinet serving espresso. The Greta Oto Restaurant serves delicious and innovative food inspired by Latin American Cuisine. We loved this place!
The hotel is really amazing. Staff, location, rooms, restaurant, etc
What could be improved: There is nothing I didn’t like
Efficient and extremely helpful staff. We got the room at 8am in the morning and everyone was polite and welcoming. Definitely the highlight of our Munich stay.
- spectacular location
- the upgrade was appreciated
- hotels vibe is impressive
- not a big property but it’s enough
- staff are professional and helpful
- the green and gold cafes are calming and inviting
- valet service was great
- concierge team are very helpful and friendly
What could be improved: - ordered in room dining and I couldn’t help but notice that the portions of the food were less than usual and the food wasn’t as delicious as it looks
- unfortunately it’s the second hotel in Munich that asks for 200 € a night for deposit which is not a reasonable amount to hold I have visited a lot of luxury hotels in Europe and the standard deposit for the night is always 100 € please consider reasonable amount of deposit for your guests
Cost to value wise, maybe it’s the best I have ever seen. Huge thanks to the staff who helped in getting the best experience ever. Very friendly and supportive staff, they even helped me in food delivery and told me about the best apps (locally) to get goods and food during off times. Finally, let’s not forget that the city center (Marienplatz) is across street, 3 minutes walk.
