I mean, when most people hear “apartment hotel,” they picture something sterile and corporate – but this place feels more like staying at a friend’s incredibly well-organized flat.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Munich like a local rather than just another tourist. Holzapfelstraße is one of those streets where actual Müncheners live, with a bakery on the corner that does proper pretzels (not the tourist ones) and a little Turkish market that stays open late. You’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the Hauptbahnhof, which sounds far but it’s actually ideal – close enough to catch any train or hop on the S-Bahn to the airport, but far enough away that you don’t hear the constant rumble of luggage wheels on cobblestones at 6 AM. The Theresienwiese is practically around the corner, which is amazing during Oktoberfest season, though I’d honestly recommend this place more for the quieter months when you can really appreciate the neighborhood.

What really sets Jezza apart is the attention to detail that you only notice after you’ve stayed in dozens of these apartment-style places. The kitchenette actually has sharp knives – I can’t tell you how rare that is. There’s proper coffee, not those sad instant packets, and enough plates and glasses that you don’t feel like you’re camping. The Wi-Fi works throughout the entire unit (tested it in the bathroom, don’t judge), and the shower has legitimate water pressure. Small things, but honestly, these are the details that make the difference between a decent stay and actually feeling at home. The cleaning is thorough without that overwhelming chemical smell some places have, and whoever does the laundry knows what they’re doing – the towels are fluffy, not crisp like cardboard.

Parking can be a bit of a dance if you’re driving – it’s street parking in a residential area, so weekdays are easier than weekends when everyone’s home. But the trade-off is worth it because you’re staying somewhere that feels authentically Munich rather than generic hotel land. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, though I’d recommend confirming your arrival time since it’s not a 24-hour front desk situation. The building itself is typically Bavarian – solid, quiet, with thick walls that actually block sound, which is something you’ll appreciate if you’re sensitive to noise. That 9.5 rating isn’t just people being generous; it’s a genuinely well-run place that delivers on the basics while adding those little touches that make you want to extend your stay.

  The apartment was super clean, modern, and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. We especially appreciated the little touches – fresh towels, coffee, and even some local tips from the host.
  Check-in was smooth, and our host was really friendly and responsive throughout our stay. You can tell they care about their guests having a great experience.

  Sehr schnelle und freundliche Kommunikation, gute und geschmackvolle Ausstattung, ruhige Lage, sehr gepflegtes Studio Appartment, bequeme Betten, einfacher check in.
  
  What could be improved: Es handelt sich nicht um ein Appartment im eigentlichen Sinn, sondern um ein Studio, also einen Raum plus Bad. Zwischen den beiden Schlafbereichen befindet sich keine Tür, sondern es handelt sich um eine Abtrennung mit Sichtschutz. Ich hatte 2 Räume gesucht und vermeintlich gebucht, da ich akustisch von meiner schnarchenden Mitreisenden getrennt zu sein, was nun leider nicht der Fall war. Auch wäre es nett gewesen, wie auf den Fotos, Kaffeekapseln und Teebeutel zumindest für die Ankunft bereitzustellen, zumal man die Kapseln nicht in der Nähe kaufen kann. Oder darauf hinzuweisen, dass man sie selber mitbringen muss.
