Hotel Description
You know what? Hotel Seibel surprised me in all the right ways. Walking in, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it that just works. The lobby has this lived-in comfort – not Instagram-perfect, but genuinely welcoming in a way that makes you feel like you can actually relax instead of worrying about touching anything.
The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully simple.” Sure, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or those fancy rain showers, but everything’s clean and functional, and honestly, the beds are way more comfortable than they have any right to be for this price point. I mean, I’ve stayed at places twice the cost where I tossed and turned all night. The AC actually works (miracle!), and the windows open if you’re one of those fresh air people. Little things matter too – like having enough outlets near the bed and a bathroom door that doesn’t sound like a gunshot when it closes. The wifi is solid throughout the building, which is more than I can say for some supposedly fancier hotels I’ve been to.
What really sets this place apart though is the staff – they actually seem to give a damn, which is rarer than it should be these days. Check-in was smooth, no weird upselling pressure, and when I had a question about the area, the front desk person gave me actual local recommendations instead of just pointing to a rack of tourist brochures. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and they don’t barge in at 7 AM like some places do. Parking was easy enough (and free, which feels like a small miracle these days), and the neighborhood has that nice quiet-but-not-dead vibe where you can walk around in the evening without feeling sketchy about it. There’s a decent coffee shop about two blocks over that opens early if you need your caffeine fix before the hotel breakfast kicks in. Speaking of which – the breakfast is nothing fancy, but it’s real food, not just sad pastries and instant coffee. They actually make scrambled eggs that taste like eggs, if you know what I mean. Look, Hotel Seibel isn’t going to blow your mind, but sometimes you don’t need your mind blown – sometimes you just need a place that does the basics really well without charging you an arm and a leg for the privilege.
Munich’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Bavarian tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring brewery tour services and authentic Alpine hospitality.

Close to the train station, right near to a supermarket and with excellent breakfast. Highly recommended!
Sasa from Serbia – 19 May 2025 (8/10)
Location is perfect, stuff is very polite, breakfast very good for price. Rooms are old fashioned, so thin walls.
Richard from Australia – 16 May 2025 (8/10)
The style and decor gave a relaxed serene feel. The rooms were comfortable and airy. It wasn’t until breakfast that we discovered there were many other guests. We were glad we booked early as the hotel was fully booked when the weekend came around.

Location close to train station that allowed me to go everywhere conveniently and quickly.
What could be improved: Breakfast price of 18 E is a joke for what is offered, a bad joke.Raymond from Malta – 17 April 2025 (9/10)
Great breakfast and good service. Cannot expect a better location in Munich. Within 5 minutes walk you have the U-bahn.

The included breakfast was delicious, handy location close to supermarkets and U Bahn, comfortable beds with enough room for our family of 4 (2 older teens).
What could be improved: I would have loved a kettle in the room (but also knew it was not included)Judy from Australia – 11 April 2025 (8/10)
