I’ve stayed at fancier places that couldn’t get the basics right, but Hotel Schlicker nails the fundamentals.   Our room on this night (second stay at the hotel) was at the front just above street level, which can be very noisy. When we closed the windows all street noise was blocked. That doesn't happen at other hotels nearby.

  Perfect location near Marienplatz. Easy to find. Good range of shops/cafes/restaurants nearby. Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Great breakfast.
